Since when has Lovett been a "hard inside" anything???

Yeah, stellar game in which you guys got smashed.

Lovett isn't a 'hard' inside mid, he's a converted small forward who's been playing in the midfield. Dream on.
Sorry lads. Obviously meant Hislop. Edited.

Yeah he did have a stellar game. Not sure if you are being sarcastic but he was very good and it was the performance that I expect from him. Highly talented boy.

It's all good mate we supporters have no say in what gets traded for picks or whatever, it's all good fun and speculation.

That being said i hope you can understand our situtation if we do lose O'Keefe it will leave a gaping hole in our side thus we gotta make sure we get compensated for losing a AA quality player who still has 3-4 years, so you can understand ppl scoffing at your trade proposals :D

Kind of solves the speed problem, but they want picks. Its a risk too, if he's going to be missing for the majority of the season..

I really wonder if Lovett could cope with moving to Sydney. He obviously had off field issues in Melbourne & there he would have been surrounded by family & friends.

If he struggled to cope in that environment, I have real doubts that he would settle in Sydney. I have visions of Chambers looking like a veteran in comparison to Lovett.

PS I assume ssfc that you mean missing on field, but it prompted my off field thoughts. :)

You would do that deal I suggested. Hislop didn't play much at all this year but his one very good game was againt you.

Hislop is a hard inside midfielder that was highly rated in the 06 draft. Due to injury he hasn't played much. Question marks over attitude but plenty of potential. Pick 20 he went. I think we will get a much better deal then a late 2nd rounder for Lovett. You guys seem interested so we'll see what you offer;) Highly doubt we'd do straight swap for your 2nd rounder which is what you seem to think.

You have failed to provide any reasons why Hislop might be attractive to the Swans. You say he has attitude issues and has been injured for most of the last two years. Hmmm... not exactly selling points.

But mostly, why would a club not exactly renowned for its depth in hard inside ball-winners (Essendon) be looking to move one on to a club which probably has a surplus of hard inside ball-winners (Sydney) but lacks a bit of ball-carrying pace and youngish height? Unless that first club thinks the player is a bit of a dud, that is, and is hoping to pull the wool of the eyes of the second club.

Forget Hislop, he will not be on the table, very much recquired player at Essendon.
Essendon fans brought up that one, haven't seen it anywhere in any of the papers.

Well I can't see it happening, was a very high pick in the 2006 draft (no.20). Only injuries have stopped him playing more games. He'll play a large role with us over the next few years as we build towards 2012-13.

LMAO, yep, personally i reckon hoping for a good 2012-2013 is a bit ambitious. However, you are close to the mark on how long it will take you to be even a half a chance of a flag.

The much vaunted Essendon 'youth policy'

This is what I find hilarious about 'bottoming out'. The supporters of such clubs believe in it so badly. All it means is that their club were extremely bad list managers and failed to prepare for the future.

They also traded poorly, and are now happily being stuck at the bottom for 5-6 years (+4). These clubs do realise that it takes a mixture of experience, mid-range, and youth to win a premiership? (generally)

With ROK looking to move back to VIC, D. Kerr would be a fitting trade to come to sydney with someone like R. Shaw and 2nd pick to WC.

so...

Kerr > Sydney
O'Keefe > Collingwood
R.Shaw + 2nd round pick > West coast

West Coast would never do that, but what about this-

Sydney Gain- Kerr+#19
Sydney Lose- O'Keefe+#30+#12

Collingwood gain- O'Keefe+Pick #30
Collingwood Lose- R shaw+#11

West Coast Gain- #11+R.Shaw+#12
West Coast Lose- Kerr+#19

I suddenly have this bad feeling that we are going to trade Malceski for Lovett...

awwww i was gonna let it go for a while but dont stress

I made the rumor up i used eski coz i thought he would be one 2 make people think

i just want people 2 see that not everything they read is true and that they should wait till its a 100% true

I HATE TRADE WEEK
