It is 'frustrating' reading or hearing all the rubbish during trade week..

Bingo! Stupid journos out to make headlines!

I think it's normal to have some feelings when a fav player get traded, especially when you're younger, as you see these guys play week in, week out. But the memories will still be there, and as time goes on there will be new players that give you just as much enjoyment from watching them play.That's footy. This may seem obvious, but there IS more to life than footy (though it can be a pretty enjoyable part of life at times! )

STUPID TRADE WEEK IM GONNA PROTEST AGAINST IT
Im gonna race into each club and rip up all the papers and crash tackle the dumb people that want players 2 go and then rescue the poor players take them back 2 mine so the club sees how much they miss their players so i bring them back 2 the club and they play on

then they will see how fantastic i am and will make me the Carer Of Players
and ill deal with trades for the next 20 years

While im at it i will secretly get us the best players
starting with Snides and Seany

This year in particular,due to alot of the rumour & innuendo involving Swans players being moved on 'Trade Talk Week" (as we should refer to this period of time as), has been particularly frustrating for mine.
It has only served thus far to increase my already healthy cynicism to all things that occur "on the other side of the white line".
In reality the whole thing should be renamed to Trade Hour ,as 99.9% of everything that hapens,does so in this time slot on Friday afternoon.
The media beats itself into a frenzy to outdo one another,all in the name of selling papers on what is nothing more than 2nd hand gossip,& feeds us the footy fan world.Its been happening for pretty much the last month TBH.
Everything we read in the papers, or hear on the TV or radio in this time has no more a modicum of credence than what is posted here regarding what would be fair & equitable trade for Player A or Player B .
In the end its just a giant game of Chinese Whispers which just gets funnier,sillier or more frustratingly annoying depending on your perspective.

Good to see I am not the only one that thinks Dudley is a fool.

With Tom Hislop being signed for 2 years apparently that takes him out of calculations for a trade. Good news for the Bombers as he is real talent. I think we will try and secure your 1st round pick but don't believe that simply offering Lovett will get it. Throwing in our 2nd rounder would be overpaying on our part so perhaps our 3rd rounder could get the deal done. Also with your apparent interest in Stanton, it would be good to inform you that he came 3rd in our B&F yesterday night. Still young and a lot of talent you would need to put in a big offer to lure him away from Essendon. Don't think we would trade him anyway.

Where did I say Lovett straight swap for pick 12? That would be great but unrealistic. IMO throwing in pick 23 with Lovett is overpaying on our part but giving you our 3rd rounder may not satisfy the Swans. I think we are determined to gain another 1st rounder and hopefully not just to give to the Eagles with pick 5 for Kerr. You have a strong interest in Lovett and a straight swap for your 2nd rounder would not get the deal done I believe.
