I thought Sydney cant trade in/out players? only picks?

Can trade out players surely, because they need to reduce their cap.

This started me thinking of a four team trade, i know will never happen, but I think it isnt too bad.

Blues lose pick 7 get Jaksch & Mitchell
Syd lose Mitchell & Reid get pick 6 (freeing up salary whilst adding a top youngster)
GWS lose picks 4, 19 & Jaksch get Griffen & pick 7
WB lose Griffen & pick 6 get picks 4, 19 & Reid

Thoughts?
Not sure we have the salary cap (we cannot afford Brock?)

That article was wrong. Macca said Mclean & Lucas might get moved on for LIST SPOTS if we bring in too many players as trade. Given we're likely to do a 3 for 1 trade for pick 7 and probably a 2 for 1 for Jones & Tutt. Also Rogers wants minimum 5 draft picks not including rookies.

Macca didn't mention salary cap - he said list spots. Journos just can't comprehend.

WB list manager

"KPF that dominate in a state league are hard to come by"

EVERYONE breaks out into laughter

A couple of days later

Whiney dominates in a BELOW AVERAGE state league, LETS GET HIM AS PART OF THE TRADE FOR #7

No-one bats an eye ..........

Oh dear... read the posts.

Do you rate Mitchell, Miles and O'Rourke?

This guy performs better than 2 of them at the SAME level.

I wonder if Dog's coach getting sacked will change Liam Jones' mind. I think he will make a good 3rd tall for us. Actually will this make Griffen think differently which would change the trade environment?

Jones will be in Navy Blue next year.
Dogs will go backwards before they go forwards.
He's coming into what should be the prime of his career in the next 5 years, and has been through enough lean years, without having to start over with anew coach.

The big issue is that Jones has to play as the main forward when he is in the side and he isn't suited to it. With Casboult and Henderson there, he doesn't get as much attention.

Jones can come - but hopefully Tutt changes his mind :p :p

I'd imagine that we'll let several of these guys that wanted to come to the club, just drop to the draft or even the PSD and if the situation suits we'll get them there, if we don't get what we want as the numbers drop. Blease, Tapscott, Saad...............and Tutt etc.

Agreed. Not sold on him but let's see.

Jaksh, Whiley, Jones & #19 is actually a good outcome for #7 & Garlett & say pick 40 odd.

I thought the opposite. I think Swans not being able to trade in will mean they will definitely keep Mitchell as is sure to get some game time the next 2 years.

They've got so many good young mids, I just can't see Mitchell wanting to play another year in the NEAFL.
