Most likely going to be raines > cheney and hentschel > krakouer

Then next week anthony > zaharis/beam and hill > rance.

Not happy with Hille either (especially when i had McIntosh for most of the pre-season) but I think I'll just cop his price drop and hope he gets better

Yeah I want the money from "Get Rich or die trying" or Fiddy as I call him. :p

If I get Rich I make $100K but then I will lose that same amount with Harvey!:thumbsdown:

Worried about missing out on Gilbert or Hurn too as they could stiffen the defense up.

Ah, too many decisions. :D

Come on Judd_Magic you know if you keep Harvey as a keeper you don't lose $100K, but you give others the opportunity to make $100K if they trade for him...

Rich has a higher ceiling, but harvey has a lower floor (if that makes sense)...

Do you plan in trading back Harvey?

But if you trade out Harvey, you still have the dilemma of Ziebiell and Brown starting.....

I'd cop the Harvey drop in value as I have with Scotland and Mattner (the duds - my secret smokies, which are now smoked)

if harvey was going to increase in value next week you wouldn't sell him. Same for me with his likely fall. The guy can play, perfect preseason and he will click. Yes it sucks but he's a keeper.

Adios Raines for Cheney; Swap anthony for rich. Surplus of $135,700

Then following week trade Robinson for T Tuck, after assessing Travis' game this week, of course.

Probably wouldn't trade Harvey back in if I got rid of him. I am worried he could be the Brad Johnson of 2008 and continually suck for long periods. He is getting on too and with guys like Grant, etc gone all the opposition are going straight to Harvey now.

I don't like doing sideway premium trades and have other holes to fix so I might just have to keep the faith with Harvey and pray he can turn it around.

I am thinking of using of Hentschel as a part of a 2 trade play to Franklin/Roo in the next couple of weeks so I can then throw M.Brown back onto the bench. My forward line is what I want to focus on as its a bit week IMO.

My Team:

6 premiums + Hill (Petrenko, Dawson)
3 premiums + Rich, Otten, Robinson (Ziebiel, Anthony)

[Hill] Do I get Cheney or wait to assess Quinn/Rance? There is no room for error as I'm not trading my premiums, so this trade is vital

[Anthony] - how long is this dude out? Do I get Joseph or wait for Beam and Zakaharis (was very impressive and kicked 7 goals in the reserves the previous week)...

No trades used so far

You have to bear in mind people that young players, or players coming back from injury are going to go up in price, so players such as Houlihan, Harding in the backs, and players such as Hentchesll (although injured) are going to go up in price, and also young players are going to go up in price anyways, its just how much, players such as Rich, Zaka, S.Hill are all going to go up, providing they play three games, at the start of the season, i picked Spencer and Jacobs on my bench in the rucks, not for the fact they are going to get good scores, but because they are basement proce, and are going to make me money, so in the end, its a win win for me :D might even keep them in for a few more weeks, see how they fare,

Cash cows atm are, Houlihan, Hill, Broughton (should play this week), Cheney, petrenko in the backs. Rich, Robinson, Masten in the mids and as forementioned, Spencer and Jacobs in the rucks, and Ziebell, Higgins, Walker and M.Brown up forward, so couple all these guys players proce rising, i would think i am going to be unstoppable in the second half of the year when i finally decide to trade them out for better players.

ahhh. so many decisions....

the love and religion that supercoach is... continues

Lets hope for both our sakes mate that Boomer can pull his finger out and score 130 + from here on end. :D:thumbsu:

Robinson >>> Tuck is a good trade, never thought about that one. Makes sense too as he missed the second game and wont go up in value.

I still feel my backs and forwards though need patching up. Two rookies making up 6th and 7th spots in my defense and Ziebell and M.Brown starting in my forward line with Pavlich, Delidio and Harveys indifferent starts are ringing alarm bells for me.

Hi guys I need help big time.

Last week I made one trade where I traded Collier (who got dropped by Brisbane) for Cheney. This left me with $140,000 in the bank.

This week I want to trade Harvey for Richo and then with the money left over trade Raines for P Burgoyne. The way I look at it I am not really wasting a trade as I loose one keeper in Harvery but gain two keepers in Richo and P Burgoyne.

Harvey doesn't look to crash hot at the moment and will go down dramatically in value where as Richo and Burgoyne both look to have a great year ahead. What do you guys think?

I really like your option 4

Option 4 -

Harvey >>> Davis
Anthony >>> Rich

:D

Neon looks like doing furrrnominally this year, and rich looks like a happy el cheapo set&forget 6th midfielder.

I wish i could wangle it to get Leon back in my team, (as he was my first one picked preseason, but I listened to the crowd way too much in my selection, and have a very generic list.)

That all sounds pretty good to me. I always plan on making two trades this week - not that I'm so good at all this, but it's the obvious time to make two sideways/strategic/renovational trades, and then hang tough as long as you can. If you're incresing your keepers, while repairing the big initial cracks that've appeared, then you've done good.

im not completely sold on Richo this year, i have never been a fan of his (in supercoach that is) and think his highs are impressive, but his lows can hurt dearly. plenty of cheaper mids that can bring you plenty of cash, and then upgrade Raines to a real premium back, possiblyt a cheap one (C.Cornes?). just some options, things to think about.

Forgot to mention I actually have Harvey as a forward so cannot see much more value in forwards than Richo at the moment.

you do not have to get a player that is around that price you do realise, thought about L.Davis, i have a feeling he could have an AA year. Gia provides another good option at 501,000,

You really hate Richo don't you LOL ;) Yeah I know there maybe better options but not to confident in Davis. He is a good player but hey he probably won't perform against top teams. Gia is just a pretty boy so not too keen on him either. I like Richo. Scored well in an 80 point losing team in the first round and scored well against the best team in the second round, so he gets my thumbs up. Then again I will get him and he will burn me this week. Always the way :D

Pavlich even. although. i am getting burned by him too. Stevie J too. plays for Geelong too.. then im with you. things really start to fall away

Yeah already have Pavlich and have thought about Stevie J as well. Its definitely out of Stevie J and Richo. Will sit on it for a day :thumbsu:

Ya I've got the Pavlich-Deledio-Harvey forwardline too, which looked so good on paper before round one. I'm happy to stick with Pav and Deledio as they've at least shown signs of getting back into the form their price demands, but I'm pretty worried about Harvey. Yeah he'll probably pick up, but I've got 20 trades left and I'd rather not be left in the dark - other cheaper forwards have shown they're in form.

And so the last day or so I've been trying to work out which of Stevie J, Davis and Richo I would trade him for. There are so many pros and cons for each that it's a really tough call. Davis has looked gold, but only against Adelaide and Melbourne, so I worry about his scoring capacity against the stronger teams. Steve looks to be great value, but again I have a feeling he'll fade away in future matches. I really like Richo - he's proven he can score well even when his team's struggling - but with his age, and other good goal-kickers threatening to steal his glory at Richmond, he starts to look a little risky too. The more I think about it, the more they all seem like dangerous choices, which makes me wanna save my trades til i have more evidence. Argh I dunno.

#try 2
I have harry taylor and marty clarke in the backline i like the way clarke is playing but with harley out taylor is being more like a scarlett so was thinking of downgrading him to houlihan for the cash to do something with hill next week as i have trent in my forward and anything to do with a knee i get worryed so will trade him for kraker. I have already use one trade on raines so have 3 done already is a bit of a problem i think
Good Idea bad idea

With Bock out indefinately, it is best to trade him, isnt it?

Option 1:
Dalziell --> Ray, Bock --> Gilbee, 107k left

Option 2:
Dalziell --> Hadley, Bock --> Gilbee, 40k left

So the real question is: Hadley or Ray? I really like Hadley, but for 77k less is Ray. I predict Ray will average around 87, and Hadley will average around 94. So that says Ray is better value.

What do you think they will average in 09?

Hadley has the track record when fit, before his knee reco he was a fantasy gun.. Guess it all comes back to the risk/reward scenario, id prefer to see a big more of Ray before I got him, I'd go Hadley only cos of his past (scoring not injuries haha)
