Given the above, the absolute pantsing he gave Lycett in Rd 2 and how underdone Lycett is Cameron will get the call up you’d assume.

This week could well tell us what our preferred structure is forward of the ball and I’m not fussed over who misses between AJ and Cox (Frampton won’t play seniors this week, IMO). I probably err toward the added mobility of AJ, but the extra height of Cox could be dangerous against their undersized defensive group and against Finlayson through the ruck.

The words "Finlayson" and "Ruck" in the same sentence give me PTSD relating back to the 2019 preliminary final against Grundy in our D50.

I think Cox and AJ will give a similar end result, I think our best team may have Cox ahead of AJ for dual position capability but I just think it'd be criminal to drop AJ given his form.

I may not be 100% convinced by the bolded, but I feel like that’s the plan and realistically I’ll be on board until it doesn’t work. I also totally understand the thought process around dropping AJ feeling criminal. I feel like there’s a discussion to be had in the future on Mihocek v AJ. It’ll take a workrate and competitiveness bump from AJ, but I’d love for it to be a live question in 2024.

Temp felt like it dropped 10 degrees once the sun disappeared and the rain came in, so there was some training played in the rain toward the end of the session.

Only De Goey was missing this morning.

Moore, Kelly, Nick D did a big running session
Mitchell did some drills, then focused on running.

This being the session that some players are managed a bit.

Then 3/4 way through when they started to do a match play, there was only a select number players out there. The rest had gone inside.
The ones that remained was.

Checkers and DC were in full training, and looked good. Trained fully, and without any complaint. So I imagine, they'll both come into it.
The colours were split up together, so I don't tend to pay attention to what they are wearing today. That's more reserved for the main session, on Thursday.

I mentioned last week that it appeared that Beggy might have had concussion, but he trained fully this morning, so that knock he got, he clearly passed the concussion test. It's a relief.
He played in defence on Kreuger this morning while Steene/Cameron were in the ruck.

In the midfield you had.

Lippa.
Fin
Reef
Steene

Allan v Markov on wing

Sidey
Pendles
Carmy
Cameron

Nothing too excited happened, given it was a lighter version of a session. And couldn't tell who was in or out. Lets wait til thurday for any signs.

Was about even, but prob ginni with an edge
How do you figure? In the one tackle Ginnivan is showing completing, he wraps his arms around Quaynor's hips which leaves Q free to spin and give a handball off. In Quaynor's he goes for the arms which leaves Ginnivan unable to pass the ball legally.

Pretty sure at this point that any players who have even a sniffle are kept away from the club during the week. Lost count of the times that a player has missed training for the week only to be selected and play on the weekend. Fully expecting Jordy to play at this point.

I’d much rather a player miss group training than spread the flu or illness to everyone. It’s really common sense at this stage.

Apparently he is training, but "off site".....
