I went to see him play during his acoustic tour at festival theatre in 2015. Bloke had the voice of a ******* angel. Whole room was fully captivated from start to finish. I was blotto as, had a spare ticket and asked some random chick at a bus stop if she was interested in going, won't go in to many mode details but what a great pair of boobs night.

I was at that gig too. It was fantastic.

I had an AT-LP2 to set up for a mate the other day, new belt & stylus needed etc.

Fitted the replacement conical stylus & thought I'd compare it to the elliptical stylus on the LP120x, so pretty obvious was the conical struggling with metal albums the sound was bit cloaked, dull & mechanical.. the switch straight to elliptical was like ear sex.

Funny thing is the conical stylus sounded nice & warm for jazz & classic rock.

An elliptical sits deeper in the groove so a fuller spectrum of sound, there is an analog warmness to a conical though.

If you are into metal dice the cheap turntables.. thought this might help you sobrave

i've basically split my collection into metal and various non metal stuff... maybe i just need two turntables....

my personal favourite is the scorpion king on vhs which has been floating around my local facebook marketplace for a while... $10 and the seller makes note they have rewound the tape for you. also they have lost the cover, but have a nice sheet of A4 paper which says The Scorpion King on it... very useful.

My wife just took a sip of coffee, in the office, before knocking it all over her laptop. In her panic she was frantically dabbing at the keyboard, trying to prevent an electrical issue.

The GM of mining walked passed, witnessing the F up and cracked up laughing. She looked up and cracked up at her predicament...........only to spray the GM and his white shirt with her mouthful of coffee!

He stood arms out, looking down, walked away without saying a word before emailing "I won't forget that incident for a long time".

Soccer is a team sport women play exceptionally well.

Personal point of view they are light years away at AFL and cricket and I don't watch but at this level in the soccer lack nothing in skills and competitiveness.

It’s more a sport that looks good played by women as it is heavily skills based when equally matched physically, they still get to beaten by underage male teams.

The physicality just can’t be overcome….yet.
