I can't believe I have seen the Swan's win two premierships.............******* awesome.

I remember that terrible feeling after 96 and the next few seasons, we'd always be around the mark but ultimately never good enough. Growing up in WA I'd cop it from Eagles supporters because their club had experienced a lot of success.

Now I've seen two flags, two bloody beautiful flags that can never be taken away! I love this club so much!

I always barrack for the Swans come finals time. I don't think I'll ever see a Melbourne flag :( so I take some comfort from seeing the Swans win one. Oh, and always happy to see Hawthorn lose one...

It may take a while, but every club has it's turn. Who would've thought after how bad we were in the early 90's that we;d win 2 flags.

Mate - the best thing is seeing the old Souths fans! They have seen some hard times! Even the players - Skilts didn't want to let go of the cup when he was awarding it! CARN THE BLOODS

I feel for the Melbourne, Saints and Dogs fans - but the bloods have shown that if you can install a great club culture you can climb right to the top!

dont give up will be so sweet when you get there.

but yeah its amazing so many fans of this club lived and died without success and we have seen 2 and no reason not to expect more, what a side.

I was at Albert Park this morning and Grubby summed up my feelings about the Swans. I had to follow them for over 20 years to see them in a final, 1970, I waited another 26 years to see them in a Grand Final in 1996 and was lucky enough to be there in 2005 & 2006 to see them win & just lose and then was there again yesterday and I think it was even better than 2005 because it was such a relief after so long. My son was originally a Bombers supporter as we live very close to windy Hill & my wife & daughter are passionate fans. My wife said I couldn't let him follow an interstate team with a poor winning record, so i gave in and reluctantly bought him a bombers jumper. Then the Swans started playing every Sunday and I could watch them and my son heard my cries of Pluuuuuggger! He was curious and sat down to watch the games with me and was soon convereted cheering Plugger & Kelly along with me, so he has been following the Swans since around 1996. In that time he has seen them in 4 Grand Finals for 2 & 2 and thinks that this is how it always is. What a contrast!

Getting ur son to switch from essendon to sydney is father of the year worthy

Look at this era from 1996-2012

Sydney 229 wins from 403 games 57.44% 2 premierships and 4 grand final appearances

Only bettered by geelong who had an all time great side 245 wins from 399 games at 61.9% and 3 premiership 4 grand final appearances.

Yet we hear about the hawks current era or dons in 2000.

Time for more respect.

P.s geelong has been awesome

I feel truly blessed to be a supporter of this great club during this remarkable era. I've watched the club go from strength to strength in the past decade, we won our last flag by 4 points and this one by 10 points, we are improving, next time we're in the grand final we might even play four quarters! :p

I remember watching all the grand final losses during the 90's and thinking I would never live to see us win a flag.

I'm so rapt for the swans fans and was more happy to know they have seen their team win that the Hawks losing a GF.

Enjoy it guys and a big congrats again well deserved winners.

epic win!

God, I hope so! It' been a rough life with my Dees!

It's been said a lot, but we should all feel very lucky to have been witness to this era of our club. Particularly us younger folk.
I agree. I only started supporting in 2003/2004 so I feel so lucky to have seen 2 premierships in the past ten years or so. It's been seriously awesome. I'm so thrilled!! Gotta love this club
