I have to say the umpires were disgraceful in this match. But i think they were probably bad for both teams. Refused to reward holding the ball either way, didn't pay 1 holding the man all day, yet payed several soft pushes and stuff both ways. Also they were gutless, would not make a tough call because they were afriad of what everyone would think. Terrible umpiring display overall if u ask me.

yeh they werent that gutless, one of them sent 2 hampton blokes off in the middle and end of the 3rd quater. one easily could have been reported.
and he did pay holding the man at least once, thats when i got pinged for it.

How's Bentleigh rate in comparison to De La, Monash and Ajax?

Anyways, Tigers should be lookin for their first win in a while after a hard few weeks which included Hampton, Monash and De La.
De La were way too good for us, forward line didnt and can't do much, and we struggled to get the ball out of our defensive 50... one of our worst games, so I guess an 8 goal defeat wasn't too bad.

AFL Superstar, whilst i think Hamptons attack on the ball and man(when they have the ball) is almost as good as i've seen all year, headbutting players off the ball has no place in U19 football let alone AFL.
Until your boys cut this sort of behaviour out they deserve to be branded thugs. And if you think that this sort of behaviour is ok and considers a 'hard knock' you need to learn a thing or too!

I'll be the first to admit that the actions of a few of the Hampton players this year have been an absolute disgrace. However, most of the boys down there play hard but fair. It's a shame they are all being branded thugs and snipers because of a minority.

On the weekend De La played there worst game since the loss to hampton. Missing 3 or 4 key players and lack of effort was really to blame, the game was over at 1/4 time so perhaps this can also be blamed for the lack of intensity. Will have to improve to beat hampton this week!

de la vs. hampton - too close to call, hampton beat them last time but looking at de las list they have already used 46 players. the result will depend on who is playing for de la. ill say de la by 1 point

Looks like Ajax responded well without Fayman...will he miss all year? Looks like he did alright in the seniors so maybe wont come back.

As for this talk about Hampton being snipers, i would like 2 respond saying this. YES there were some off the ball incidents on saturday, in fact i was hit off the ball, but NO hampton as a team are not snipers...it is only 2 or 3 players that let the team down over and over, the rest play it hard and fair.
The holiday period will be interesting, with lots of good players missing from many teams because they are away...maybe a few upsets are coming up?

I think the gap between the top 5 teams and the rest of the field is far too large for there to be too many upsets even with players missing for the better teams. Also i think the top four is fairly concrete, with the gap in standard being so large it will tough for bentleigh to find 3 games on de la, even if they do beat them they will need to beat one or two more of the top 3 teams.

more like st bedes by 20 goals over peninsula. they were able to almost match monash in the second half of that game and peninsula were an absolute rabble no offence. i think monash by 15 goals at absolute most depending on the weather

just seen that the peninsular bloke got 2 weeks for insultive or abbusive language. Anyone know what was said? im persuming that he swore at the umpire, if your down by 20 goals why would you get sucked in and swear at the umpire when the game is alredy over.
