Took the dog down to where I would have voted. Beautiful day out here in Ohio. Very few people when I visited at ~ 3pm.

Not sure how to interpret this. This county was 60-34 for Clinton in 2016, and so typically you'd like to see folks. However since the majority of Dems voted early or by mail, it's perhaps a good sign.

Ultimately though it'll be the after-work rush that brings in the numbers. Might take another look then.

nothing, there are rules about scrutineering

for example in Australia, when I scrutineer i have to:

1) a signed letter from the lower house candidate stating that i am there to scrutineer on their behalf.

2) I have to be there at a certain time, and once ballot counting starts I will not be permitted in (if not there)

3) if i leave, i cannot re-enter

4) i am not allowed to touch anything

now these guys are not scrutineers, they are witnesses, but the issues are similar.

because they are entering the polling place, its a secure and supposed to be impartial area. as an example, in australia we have to remove our party t-shirts/hats/buttons before entering to cast our own vote.

as per usual with the usa, the rules differ from state to state. most states have a requirement that you can only witness for the electrorate you live in. Apparently this is causing an issue with some trump volunteers. they were unaware of the location requirement, and tried to witness in areas outside where they live.

listening to the audio, this is what happened here I think. They keep saying his authorisation is not for this voting booth.
