Putin owns Trump. Never said that at all. Unless you deliberately ignore the small factor part. Even if it's just one part a small factor in the whole equation, it's still a factor. There is way more and bigger reasons to why she lost. But there is definitely some voters who would have voted against her because of the gender, or had it in a small part of their conversations.

I love Vivek - i'd be worried as a Republican that he may present some of the same issues that Kamala and Hillary undoubtedly faced. I'm a realist and there is no doubt, a small minority of Republican voters who may not get out and vote for Vivek. I'd personally back Vivek in.

Trump wouldn't stand a chance in here or Europe. Parties and politicians like Trump get flogged in our elections and normally only have one mouth piece with a seat, like that Babet flog. Thinking they are talking for the imaginary silent majority.

This is harsh. This is VERY harsh. I get the 'white folk are the best-positioned ethnicity to succeeed in the United States' viewpoint but to call anyone mired in, often generational, poverty a "failure as a person" is wrong in my opinion.

Speaking as an avowed left-winger these are the people who are meant to be our base. The right wing wins them over by speaking to their insecurities (why can't you get a job? IMMIGRATION!) and people without hope will look to anything.

We lefties need to achieve concrete solutions to help these people. To win them back in a post-manufacturing and service-based environment.

A lot of white people over there just don't have access to the things needed to allow them to the succeed in particular those in less well off environments. They can't afford to get an education and so on.

That creates the poverty and has ultimately created an environ where they have been ignored and the chickens have come home to roost so to speak.
