Gore also smashed Bush in that back in 2000 as well didn't he?

Meanwhile Obama won it comfortably back to back.

Means nothing while that trash electoral system is in play.

Yes, I believe Gore comfortably won the nationwide popular vote in 2000. Just double-checked. Gore won the popular vote by about 550,000 votes (a margin of 0.52%) but Bush won the electoral college 271 to 266 because he carried Florida by 537 votes.

Doesn’t help that the networks call red states immediately but drag their feet on blue states. New York is gonna be blue CNN, just call it.
They don't.

1964 the last time a Democrat scored at least 40% in Wyoming

I did that last time when Biden got out to about $4, but all the talk leading up to it had been how Democrats were postal voting or early voting in huge numbers due to the pandemic, so i chucked a cheeky $20 on just figuring if it happened no harm.

as someone who never gambles, i was stoked to get $80 back or whatever it was I got for what seemed like a common sense bet to me haha
Its not always common sense though is it? I put money on a Brisbane GF win this year because to me its common sense that Sydney would bottle the flag.

Meanwhile I knew people who said it would be common sense that a Sydney team so dominant would beat the 5th placed interstate team in the GF.

Common sense ain't always so common when money is involved.

Hilary Clinton won the nationwide popular vote in 2016 and lost the election. The nationwide vote is meaningless.
Its not meaningless as an indicator of who will win. Its just not a perfect indicator and trump has a head start in the race.

Clintons result in 2016 is bad news for harris given she is even less ahead then clinton was. But it doesnt rule her put of contention from winning.
