Genuine question:
Is there an anti Biden/Democrat factor here?

I can't help but feel that some voters are issuing a big f**k you to the Democrat machine for covering up Biden's frailties all this time. Not all voters but enough to make a difference.
Interesting

Not sure but the continued reporting of Harris underperforming Biden in ''safe seats'' suggests its more directed towards Harris

With better access to polling and counts the minutiae can be interpreted many ways

What are all these idiots who voted for trump gonna do when the economy crashes , inflation goes through the roof, retalitory tariffs stuff farmers up, WW3 breaks out and rents go up?
Probably pick the clouds as fairy floss and break trees down as chocolate because they'd be in a fairy tale land where any of those things occur under a Trump presidency.

Likewise when there's no WW3 and inflation doesn't go through the roof 😉

To be fair, inflation & the economy under the Biden admin has been solid, introducing tariffs sure as hell won't improve it.

As for WW3.. who knows. Trump doesn't value the US as a superpower and seem happy to let China & Russia do as they please.

Gender gap went from 57% women 42% men for Dems in 2020 to 54% women 44% men for Dems in 2024.
Kamala LOST votes to women.
Crazy right

Even the Taylor Swift Effect was a dead cat bounce

Oh I see what I did there

They've already had 125k more votes counted than last time. 7% more would be another 358k on top of that.

Which, doesn't seem realistic so I wonder what the 7% still to come is? Is that booths?

Edit: it also means my formula is shot to pieces ClarkeM
Covid precautions last time.

Too many people just blaming "misogyny" for Kamala losing. Unbelievable

The Voice only failed because of "racism"

Brexit only failed because of "racism"

See a pattern?

Feel confident that race was the biggest single factor in the Voice referendum.

Each case has its own unique features, and the Dems chose their candidate unwisely. Even as VP, Harris was relatively unknown to the American people, so they should have opened the gates to all comers.

Trump said things which acknowledged that lots of people were struggling, and he kept saying these things, while Kamala said things which stressed the point that was isn't Donald Trump.

It's not the full story, but it's a big part of it. She gave nothing for people to hold onto or hope for.

it won't impact farmers as such, they can still import 'parts' without tariffs, as long as manufacturing of the final product is completed in the USA.

for example, a brewery can import the beer & dry goods without tariffs, but they have to bottle & 'manufacture' it in the US.

i'm team kamala, but i have some hope the world won't end. how much shit will hit the fan?

i couldn't tell you much about either of their policies, think i wanted to save my sanity and i don't have much skin in the game. i'm not engaged in anything other than hot-button topics, really. and i worry about the threat of the religious right.
don't think campaigning for abortion is the slam dunk it might have been if it were an australian election.
the gun violence problem may not have been fixed under kamala, but at least it would probably have been attempted. healthcare likely a few swirls closer to the bottom of the toilet bowl. but over there, that's dirty socialism.
if we assume he's someone that won't keep his own word, then there's terrible things he's promised to do that he'll punt... some of what will come will be out of the blue.

hopefully the ripples will be small and i can continue to live in ignorance. if kamala somehow wins i can cheer and delete this post.

Yep lets hope the best for everyone

American's would rather more of the same from Trump instead of more of the same tired government Harris would have been Biden 2.0.
I think secretly a lot of them like chaos and drama. They’ve been saying the US has outperformed all other G7 countries since Covid. Not sure what your tired government refers to.
