Everyone still happy Hardwick got the extension? Looks like he'll have had 3 years - and still no finals. I'm not sure what he's really done that Wallace wasn't doing.

We lead the league in uncontested possessions. We look backwards for our first option far too often. We 'spread wide' and run into space. we dominated possessions today. Great. Except when we get caught on the rebound and have no defenders in position. Our forward play is abysmal - we had 10 more inside 50s. We know how crap we are at scoring.

There has to be some pressure applied to the coach and his staff - basically we are still going nowhere. A good performance here or there - several 'honorable losses' - and lots of rubbish. I'm not saying 'Sack!' - but there has to be an examination of how our game plan and development is going. Because the results are not showing much.
Fine with it. Dimma jumped on with us so far back and dispute today we have shown continued improvement. He was and still is worthy of his extension.

24 posts earlier in this thread you said we were a Derickx dropped chest mark away from finals? But I agree, our last month has been a long way from finals quality. Still a lot of list pruning, and development to go.
Still being chance at finishing 8th in an 18 team comp 15 rounds into a 22 round comp. doesn't mean we're close to being a good side. Failure to hold onto an 11 point lead with less than a minute to go against a previously winless bunch of kids only confirms we're not.

The Richmond that played today would hardly be the Richmond that would play finals. We had what? 7 of our best 22 out. Then suffered 2 or 3 injuries during the match. Probably our weakest team of the year and it showed.

Try first half and 180seconds

Losing culture comes through in clutch moments. I argued that the last 180 seconds wasn't our losing culture as their culture has much more to do with losing than ours.

Whatever - we played terribly beyond what I thought we were capable of and see every other post for the dissatisfaction and hyperbole related to that.

Be interesting if the cost of these two GC losses is greater than the cash benefit. You would think they would lose some members. I'm a gold member who used to go to most Melbourne games 5-6 years ago but now go to 2-3 a year. I have just seen too many abysmal losses and I have lost my passion. I admire those who keep the faith (and a few years ago I thought I was one of them). Feel for Deledio and Cotchin - the two best players I have seen at the club. I hope they have success eventually but wonder if it will have to be elsewhere.

AAAAANNNNDDDD WHAT HAVE WE LEARNT TODAY??? we have learnt not to dish up shitty performances and not make excuses for having a bad side

So disappointed....on my way home from watching the game I punched my horn so hard that now it's busted. Need to calm down a post tomorrow, I just want to say so many negative things. Worst thing is I have to rock up to work on Monday and cop it. I've already been receiving texts to which I have not replied too as I would just be too rude.

I'm tipping that quite a few players had their papers stamped tonight. I'm also tipping that the deal to play up at Cairns is being looked at to see if there is an out clause so we don't have to go there again next year.

A CEO who sells games against a team we would smash at the MCG.
A coach who rests our most important player and allows a wide open forward line with 20 seconds to go. Why didnt we flood like crazy???? Geez, I've seen Auskick players with more awareness of a situation than some of our spuds.

Well done tiges, we now resume our rightful position as the joke of the league.

Gutted.

Not an excuse. Sorry not against the Suns.

Fact is we should beat the gold coast at home, away, china who cares???? Using the selling of the game is a cop out on the playing group.

Unfortunately after today, good luck Richmond getting 50,000 members again for a few years.

I can imagine this performance will make a lot of people give up.
