What are the chances of the VAFA website crashing on the final day of the home and away season next week?

Given the home and away season for the majority of the VAFA finishes this week, Is say it's only 50/50 at best.

the scholarly blues to skin and bone the shocking sharks.

the hedgies should expect all cameras on following their impressive outing last week. unfortunately for the hedgies i expect the rest of the season to drag on so i cannot prescribe a win, it is the purples for me.

the strong rumour is canada is feeling empty and unloved due to being banned from contact with his close and dear friends and is pacing the floor of his toorak mansion, a long chopper handley punt kick from toorak park, counting the hours before his return to forum domination. to give him hope and a reason for being i am going for the love of his sporting life over the disappointing scholarly blacks.

st kevies/afl2s will be fired-up after their day off last week. i expect the pre-season investment to pay dividends with a walk in king park this week. information by carrier pigeon has given me the heads-up that maplebet has the game marked at a 100+ points belting of mentone.

the two best coaches going head-to-head should turn the worker dees v grammar game into a ring-a-ding-ding affair. the worker dees will have to be switched-on to get the points over grammar. the home ground advantage will be the difference. go dees.

not important, but a tipping guru speaking good sense.

The top four is far from set. THis week i expect OX to roll Blacks, and if OM's get up over DLS, which given OM's form is definately possible, then both OM's and OX will be just 2 points shy of DLS in fourth.

Then R18 has DLS playing Uni Blues, OM's against Trinity and OX playing Collegians. THere's every chance that OM's will end up with fourth spot come the end of the H&A season, and right now i feel as though that is the most likely scenario, depending on whether Blues decide to rest a few in the final round (if the Lions win this weekend and DLS lose then Blues can't move from 3rd).

Lots of what ifs. On form OX only 50/50 to get over Blacks. OMs have not won at the Bell in a long, long time and usually find the Bellers difficult to get over. I’m backing my boys to get the points but agree that OMs are in good nick and it will be close, hard fought game.

While on teams resting players. Never mind Uni Blues – if 2nd spot locked in will Collegians rest players and potentially give OX a leg up?

How will the VAFA website manage to handle the huge amount of hits coming their way on Saturday, especially between 4:30-5:00pm, when the final quarter finishes? Because for most sections (not just Premier), there is a lot at stake for clubs battling to either a) win the minor premiership, get the all-important week off and play in the second semifinal; b) make the finals, or c) avoid relegation.

And then wondering if they will be playing at Trevor Barker Oval , or Headquarters.

You don't flirt with form. Lions won't rest players for the sake of resting them, even if second spot is sewn up.

Suggest you post this somewhere other than the Premier A/B fora.

Divert them to Twitter

Colls will never rest players...its a bad move in anyones language. Just ask OS their thoughts on the matter...

Will wait and see I suppose. There is a difference between blatantly resting players (Scotch - Rd 18 2014) and perhaps giving a week off to those who have been carrying some niggles or would benefit from sitting out due to age, soreness or other reasons.

Would suggest that playing a full strength side in a dead rubber when you have players in the above category is unlikely.

Next thing they will be doing is pulling down Scholley's statue at Elst / Park.....God forbid, all those Marxists under the beds..

any tips for this week f.f.?

Hi all Bigfooty friends,
Unfortunately I'm having to leave and head back to Canada. I have closed down Maplebet and will be asking OTP to close my bigfooty account.
The winds of change have been thrust upon me and with a heavy heart I must fly away.
It was fun, however all good things must come to an end.
You are all supporting the greatest game and the greatest competition that plays it.
For the love of the game.
Your old friend..Canada.

Sounds like you have been de-ported old friend.

the hedgies are burning.

they look safe from relegation and a prime 2018 coaching option. how they describe the coaching requirements will be interesting.

round 18 looks boring with the final four set.

water cooler gossip is still a st kevies/afl2s premiership. in a cakewalk is the word coming from toronto.

the worker dees getting there would be great for the amateur game and i would think they would have huge support on the day.

go dees.

it is disappointing to read of your departure. it has been a hoot. the discretion with which you did it is admirable. :thumbsu:

what a pity canada does not yet have the internet so you could continue to post.;)

the question remains as to how those of us who have big bucks on a st kevies/afl2s flag will collect in view of maplebet closing. a forwarding address? :)

an appropriate time for a farewell post methinks.

Just too bad getting caught in that C'Wealth Bank sting. At least you got most of your money out beforehand.

FYI:

That bundle you collected on that failed AFL2s Triple Crown bet should go some way to easing the pain, but you have to follow the above.
