We made a decision to have a shot at finals in front of player development and it has massively backfired.

If we finished mid table but developed the list then it’s not disappointing, but we didn’t we had a shot at trying to make finals and in the end have failed.

We are no closer to seeing who is the future as the majority of them have wallowed in the VFL.

All this year has now achieved is no finals, no development and a shit draft pick. A massive failure.

Also, sitting on the Gold Coast to recover? Why? Take the buggers to Williamstown and recover there so when they are done they can be refreshed. The weather might've been shit last week, but if you're gonna recover, do it in the state you play. It's important that players experience the winter of Melbourne straight after they play a game in QLD. Gets the body adjusted optimally again. The players have facilities here to recover in as well, WTF!??

It’s a bigger waste of time when you don’t make finals and have done so at the expense of development.

I'd like to see some games into some kids playing the VFL that deserve a game or two for preparations for next year.

If any of the younger crew get picked in the next two weeks, it will be to prepare them for 2025.

You only get a game if you are a late call up for injury or you get some token games when the season is shot.

It’s criminal that some of these guys weren’t brought in for games throughout the year.

It’s not as if there haven’t been opportunities through poor form. But Brad only likes to rotate a kid for a kid and doesn’t have the stones to make the big call on an underperforming senior player.

I can handle us finishing mid table, but it should have never been at the expense of moving the list forward.

We took out shot and came up short and now Brad has to accept the responsibility for falling short and effectively setting us a year back in our development.

If he was going to be bold enough to have a crack at finals in front of development then he had to make finals. It’s a results driven industry and at the moment this is probably the worst result in the context of our future.

Yep, it was mostly the older blokes playing above themselves early in the year, costing to games into the younger blokes.

Now we have tov wait another year to know if the younger guys will/can make it.

I have loved watching Scooter and Waitey play and what they have brought to the club, but it looks like it’s Groundhog Day again and tough decisions will need to be made. I just don’t see a premiership list there and playing them is now detrimental to developing the next generation.

It’s tough but, unless they can win us a flag, it might be time to move on?

We know how Brad works so that's why I want to see them in. I wanted some of those brought in throughout the year but seems Brad doesn't do that when finals are a chance.

The reality is we are here with 2 games to go and Preuss, McKay, Larkey and Neilson have not played a senior game and LDU has played very few games. There has been no rebuilding going on compared to what other clubs are doing - these guys should have played some games this year.

To the stats and we were smashed in Clearances. Also lost Contested Possession and were destroyed in Uncontested Possession. Sickening. The Clearance Numbers especially. You would think with Goldy, Cunners, Ahern, Higgins and Jed in the guts we would have faired better in this area. :stern look
