I was hoping someone would get the "wooden" "Chip off the old block"....haha

I did enjoy the wood log chopping at the annual royal show as a kid.
What do you think of Charlie Banfield ?
The one thing I notice is how clean he is and keeps his feet just one touch player
Hopefully next year he can increase his production

Very good prospect. Importantly has more height than Bailey. Will be interesting to see if he grows beyond his 188cm listing. I wonder where they will play him? Forward, wing, inside mid?

Yes for the sure mate. The big unit is putting his hand up late for a draft call.

Hopefully it's not too late for him to be given a late draft camp state call up.

Looking at the Preliminary final fixtures.

Pretty Cool coverage

Colts- SD v S at Bassendean (streamer live stream)
Reserves- EF v S at Bassendean (streamer live stream)
League- SD v PT at Bassendean (AFL live stream, Channel 7, SportFM, ABC Radio, SEN WA)

The Wafl still has a place in people's hearts and is profitable enough to invest in.

WAFL Colts Match of the Week.

Subiaco v Swan Districts at Steel Blue Bassendean, Sun, Sep 15, 8.50am WA/10.50 Vic https://streamer.com.au/match/4215

Looks like two near full strength teams. Sadly Subiaco will be missing late bolter Toby Jones which is a shame for the game. But they do welcome back Wesley Walley Jnr, Aven Drewett and Hudson Walker.

Swan Districts look to have every player available and are likely to go in unchanged from last week.

I feel as though this game is too close to call.

Whichever team wins will have their work cut out for them next week against Claremont at Optus in the Grand Final.

Note-The WAFL Reserves Preliminary Final between East Fremantle and Subiaco will also be broadcast on Streamer.

Great game by Swan Districts. Should have won by more. Gave the lead away in the 3rd quarter, but finished strongly. Harvey BOG—with great second and third efforts late in the last quarter.

Tough game for them against Claremont next week, but anything can happen.

Without giving the votes away until tomorow. Big Congrats to Otis Harvey (SD) 101 BF/coaches votes. Awesome work man.
I saw Koen Sanchez kicked 5 and had 18 in the reserves final, I was so surprised to see him overlooked last year, seems to of had an off year but hopefully he can get up and use his full talent.

The fact that Twomey still doesn’t have any WA prospects beyond Allan in his top 30 is ….. curious.
I think most agree, i certainly do

The Vic pool is strong

Hamish Davis kicked 4 goals and had 21 in a semi final WAFL league

Gerryn finished strong but i think his size doesnt allow the position hes played at Colts level, so he comes with big risk

Yes the vic bias is alive and well. They probably think that the Coates talent league is a stronger comp than our WAFL League.

Gerreyn will be an interesting one. I agree there seems to be some concern over where he plays at the next level. Probably wont get big enough to ruck and not sure he has the speed or athletic ability as a KPF. Isn't overly prolific in front of goals. Unfortunately the colts comp here isn't the strongest indicator and his step up to league wasn't overly impressive. I am sure somebody will still pick him up, just maybe not as high as some watchers think.

Futbolista what's the knock on Clancy Dennis? Why does he only make your #8 of all WA prospects?
Only 8?

I thought some folks might say I have him too high.

Although he doesn't have a glaringly obvious AFL traits I think he is a superb reader of the play which allows him to spoil and intercept in defence and he's more than happy to run the ball out of the backline.

He reminds me a bit of where current Fremantle/Peel player Hugh Davies was at this time in 2022.

So no know on him really.

Well, seeing as the draft media don't rate the WA crop this year highly outside of Allan, #8 on your list of WA prospects feels to me like the sort of player that may not get drafted at all, or is a late pick at best. I think it's very possible that Boxshall and Angove don't get drafted, and they're above Dennis. Yet Dennis made U18 All-Australian at CHB. That's what makes me a bit confused.
