This is a sensitive area for some. With that in mind, I'm going to remind a few posters a few things:
  • personal attacks are against forum rules. From this point, any attacks that are directed at another poster will be treated with a warning, then infractions and threadbans if it continues.
  • the spread of misinformation is also against the rules. This is taken very seriously by moderation, and you will be asked to support your opinion from time to time. If you cannot satisfy this, you will be provided an opportunity to retract your post; if you do not, you will receive an infraction and a threadban on that basis.
This is a forum for adults, and I'd appreciate you all treating each other appropriately.

A Biden punching bag erected in Moscow:
In Moscow, a punching bag with a photograph of US President Joe Biden was put up near the Airport Gallery shopping center. People periodically come up and beat her, they write in the group district.

No UFC career for her.
Needs to work on that kicking technique.

I am glad they interviewed her but the Russian people will never see it. Her image used for propaganda is all she will be as reality for 95% of them.
I think for some Russians they will never really find out the full truth of the horrors done in Ukraine by their army for a few decades.

Lukashenko keeping himself in the good books with Putin with his fanciful tactics. Belarus isn't going to do anything and if they did, they would be decimated and Lukashenko wouldn't survive.

We're talking here a region of size that's slightly larger than New Zealand (268 km^2).

Another ammunition depot (this time in the city Donetsk) attacked by the UAF and cooking off.

The first picture is actually from 2016, but looks like they never moved it.

Deluded puppet 🤪 .

If the puppet believes former lands of the Russian Empire/USSR should be returned to his Russian master based on past history then is he going to hand western Belarus back to Poland (2nd republic 1918-1939) or if we play Putin's "it happened 300 years ago" card - all of Belarus to Poland-Lithuania (commonwealth 1569-1795)?! :rolleyesv1:

Seems the former (i.e. some exaggeration to gain sympathy).

Yeah, it seems to be more and more the case of exaggeration.

I’m reading how one analyst has calculated that in the 4 weeks since the Popasna breakthrough, if the claimed UAF numbers KIA and WIA were true even at their lowest point, it would mean 21,000 soldiers out of action.

There is no way they could be sustaining these losses while still being able to mount a defence not only in the Donbas but also a heavy counter offensive in the Kherson region where they are taking decent ground off the Russians and are currently fighting for the pivotal town of Kyselivka.

Same analyst has surmised that it has been one big “massaging” of the media by Ukraine dramatising the dire situation in the east and how it could fall any day now just to garner that support for heavy weapons.

The reality is that the Russians are making really slow progress in a slog and 4 weeks later have still not actually captured anything meaningful to disrupt the UAF defence.

Two sides of the same coin?
One side maybe exaggerating whilst the other side is lowballing their figures.

In trying to see what Russians and Ukraine's think via youtube of what going on, it sometimes gets frustrating the people that feel need to extreme's of exaggeration of denial or other extreme of exaggerate some aspects.
Found myself unsubscribe from a few youtubers I originally subcribed to from both nations to understand what going on for their nations.
One Ukranian had to unsubscribe as kept repeating so much about Putin it actually adds nothing to their channel.
Meanwhile Russians that do not want to look at what going on in genuine way is frustrating too as they actually need to. Had to unsubscribe from a few this week as lost interest in hearing people that want to go on with life like it an alternative reality.

The chess world has banned one of it's most prominent stars, Russian player Sergey Karjakin, for six months over the 32-year-old's outspoken defence of the invasion of Ukraine.
