When the Ukrainians jumped over the Dnipro River onto the left bank and entered the town of Krynky, they faced resistance from the Great Russian army, the second best army in the world with only the most elite and professional soldiers on earth…

Perhaps they have found a soft spot.
This was interesting given the discussion earlier about Russian-Hamas relationship. It may not show what the posters say it does, for a few reasons. Nonetheless, it does fit in with the idea of some Russian assistance to Hamas and the convenient timing of events.

Would be waiting for this to be independently verified but pretty significant if true.

Would indicate deliberate action by Russia to stoke the Israel - Palestine conflict as a way of diverting American resources elsewhere away from Ukraine.

Of course they would, they treat everything as a zero sum game.

That's utterly nuts if it turned out that way. Israel is (or looks like was) one of their biggest allies.
There was a video a few pages back of an Israeli minister on RT Moscow going off accusing the Russians for taking Hamas’ side, and promising after their conflict is over, that they would help Ukraine and make sure the Russians were defeated. So yeah that bromance is over.

But its not like Russia can be trusted in any alliance. Even with his closest allies, Putin would stab Nth Korea, Iran, or China in the back the first opportunity he could get if he thought it would benefit him.

Yes, he did call Russians Nazis and then there was a pogrom in Dagestan against Jews which Russia have cynically attempted to pin on Ukraine instead of taking responsibility themselves.

The wonderfully named NewNew Polarbear is a Chinese cargo ship thought to directly involved in the sabotage of the subsea cables and the pipeline in the Baltic. Turns out there is a twist to the tale, the ship had been hired by Russians!
It's all connected to Russia, Hamas attacking Israel, GOP stopping funding to Ukraine and now this sabotage.

Don't forget Russia is just a puppet for the machinations of the US though. Nothing is done in this world without the US orchestrating it.

And in the most predictable response of all time Russia blames Ukraine for the events in Daghestan (1200 kms away):

When all else fails blame Kyiv for a pogrom committed on Russian soil.

Putin obviously wants Russia to join the Iran/Hamas/Hezbollah alliance and become even more isolated internationally.

Putin would only consider calling it a day when he has lost 3,000,000 plus
Well if Stalin could kill tens of millions of his own people, Putin has no problem sacrificing that much either.

Both despots with no regard for anyone but themselves.

Didn't have time to share this yesterday, most is about the Dnipr incursions but the Avdiivka area gets some attention too.

There has since been a little more ground reportedly taken around the slag heap hill next to Avdiivka.

Yeah like he says the slag heap is a grey zone.

There was footage earlier this week of the Russian flag flying on that slag hill (but not a soldier in sight), and then the UAF sent a drone and destroyed the flag.

Seems like something is happening at the Kerch Bridge. The smoke is up, but news about actual attacks is not yet known.
[Voice of Crimea TG]

I was wondering whether the longer range of ATACAM’s (or whatever the acronym is) would allow Ukraine to take it out once and for all.

Ukraine flanking Russias flanking attacks on Adiivka. If successful then it would mean Russia's offensive of Adiivka over the last couple months would have been nothing but a massive waste of their men and equipment for no gain.

I was contemplating this exact move a month or so back (not me doing it, silly, the Ukrainians!), and whether the Russian salient(s) would make themselves vulnerable to a flanking manouver?

Same in the south salient, which was the one I had mainly been thinking of.

Looks like it might be happening, at least in the north.

Just to add, with this flanking manoeuvre, at the very least it will mean the Russians will have to send resources to counter it, which in turn making the attack line to Adiivka weaker and helping the defence of Adiivka.

Even if the Ukrainians don't cut off the Russian flanks, it is still a good move just because of this alone.

The letter says that the US must ensure that both Israel and Ukraine are victorious, but that funding for Kyiv must be based on a clear vision and strategy for victory and an end to the stalemate in the war with Russia.
