While I don't doubt this is true until they start to speak up Kane, Rucci, Whatley and co might as well be right because it is only the famous bigfooty clique that are publicly making noise.
The fact that the lunacy this Geelong-supporting moron spews is even acknowledged by anybody at our club is a disgrace. Should be treated the same way Bevo treats Tom Morris.

What is the diversity in the board room? There is plenty of business acumen and ‘governance’ heads already mixed throughout? Surely another profit first member is not going to achieve what is every football clubs first point of business should be, the ultimate success, the elusive Premiership.

More elite sports personnel, high end sports minded members scattered through every tier of our club is required to deliver standards throughout that will continue to drive our ridiculously talented playing list to where is should be.

For all of Chad and Trav’s detractors, they both work their arses off externally and invest their own resources into their own self improvement, something Port Adelaide was well documented doing in our very best years! In this day and age you can not force an employee to do anything outside the prescribed hours/arrangements but you can breed a culture of self growth, something I feel WGT will do.
We need more football people with business experience or who can learn corporate governance on the board and fewer corporate wonks trying to learn football.

Koch probably heard that interview yesterday, and when Boulton spoke about everyone's ultimate aim being to win a premiership, he thought to himself, "Who is this weirdo?"
Most likely thought "How dare this nobody presume to know more about the club and football success than Moi?"

Spot on! What really jumped out when Tredrea and Abernathy pitched on AA this week was when Tim asked, where do you see the club at now? Tredrea said our fans want success and we've fallen short in the last couple of years and that it's possible that this team can hold the premiership cup this year in our 20th yr anniversary. Abba's response ....we're a 5-8 placed team atm (sound familiar?)

How the hell is any team supposed to be successful when the leadership set the bar so low? Collingwood finished 17th 2 years before winning their flag, WITH Billy Frampton in their side. Great teams defy odds all the time, that's what sets them apart from the losers.

I hope Tredrea's first port of call when he wins is for the club to get rid of the excuses and loser talk that are now a part of the furniture, when once upon a time it was considered blasphemous.
What rubbish that we are a 5 to,8 placed team. Tell that to the 1994 premiership, team which lost a second semi final by 77 points or so and then came from 6 goals down in the wet to win by 7 goals or the 1990 premiership team which lost the second semi plus Browny, Rohan,Timmy on 1 leg plus Scotty injured during the game. Guts and determination because the PAFC had an attitude a winners. Never would our leaders engage in loser talk unlike the spuds now in charge.

Limiting yourself is the dumbest thing you can possibly do.

Every other year the premiership is won by a side that's supposed to be a 5-8, or 9-12, or 3-4 team and just doesn't accept it and embraces the challenge.

You can bet that for every one of these prominent PAFC names that are publicly endorsing Tredders there are ten who are doing it privately. The discontent is real, it's not just a BigFooty thing as Kane and Rucci will have you believe. Heard on the grapevine that Choco (who was sitting with Darren Cahill in Sinner's player box at the tennis the other night, incidentally) is a big supporter too but there would be many more.

I can tell you first hand from someone who is one step from Choco that he ain’t a fan of Hinkley.

It really surprises me just how much of a cult it is down there. The way they don't give a **** about losing and love Ken suggests Hinkley has never so much as taken them to a 4am swim in winter at Henley after a bad loss. Probably because Ken can't be ****ed getting out of bed till 10:30.

They've had it drummed into them there's no shame in losing, no matter how shameful the performance (bulldogs prelim, benbrownapalooza, et al)

Someone inside the tent sometimes needs to tell them that's not ok, no matter how nice a person you are

I've heard it said by a few of our players,
"The performances on the field don't define you as a person." They do, however, define you as a sportsperson.

Under Daddy Donuts' losing culture losing is a totally acceptable outcome.

"It's a tough competition and someone has to lose."

After the latest contract extension was signed, I very much doubt that the results for the rest of the year mattered to Koch and the rest of the idiots in charge at Alberton.

If Hinkley was caught in beachwear he would be done for indecent exposure.

Darren cahill wants him on the board for the last 2 years, that all you need to know , time to listen to winners not losers
Yes, shout out to Darren Cahill another player (Jannik Sinner) he coaches makes a Grand slam Final and destroyed Djokovic in the process. He has also had Choco Williams sit in the players box the last couple of matches.

Few things have made me more angry in my time watching football, than seeing them win the flag in 2023. Not because it's Collingwood, but because they endured a total fire sale of a trade period after 2020, finished 17th, made a decision to sack an underperforming coach (after making a Grand Final) before hiring a bloke who turned a shit list into a premiership team on the back of rocking up to work looking to win every day. The Pies aren't that good, they have just been trained to win. Macrae was a winner as a player and has been a winner as an assistant coach.

Finals have been a regular for us for a few seasons now- this list is capable, as WGT has said. Our on field leaders are hungry. If we can get rid of the pretenders mindset that has permeated this group, and have them lead by a group that turns up every day with a Macrae mentality - we can win one. I just hope that change happens at the top before it's too late.

Would love to have Choco back in some capacity, but there's absolutely no way the cult would have him around. Can even see them trying their best to keep Tredders away.

First board meeting of the year, got Chadbro manning the door. "Hey Wazza, good to see you mate. Just checking you've got the green tick on your Covid Safe app bro. Ah geez, no tick? That's a shame, sorry you can't come in champ"

Abba in his 5aa interview backed Hinkley with the comment 'his W/L percentage is exceptional' ...
H&A win loss percentage is meaningless if you can't win finals. If Abernathy doesn't understand that he should be no where near our board.
