So the stars need to align this weekend and the following needs to happen for Adelaide to make finals:
Carlton need to lose by 30 points to Poort
Kangaroos need to close to Collingwood
Brisbane needs to lose against Geelong
...and Adelaide need to beat West Coast by 30 points.
(that's a very rough guess on percentage)

Melbourne with only a couple mids, one forward and one decent back...everyone should be scoring 20 on them. Lewi did a good job, but good teams will just double team or put a loose man back in front of him. Then we are stuffed.
Could we recall Walker for one game? He looks ok to me not that I have any medical knowledge at all but his haircut is coming on well so he must be a chance?

According to Sportsbet the favourites in the last 4 legs of the OctoFecta are
1) Geelong unbackable favourites to beat Brisbane
2) Port favourites to beat Carlton
3) Adelaide favourites to beat West Coast
4) Collingwood favourites to beat North Melbourne.
The main problem will be catching up the 11 goals percentage on Carlton. In our favour is that if we get on top of West Coast they are likely to allow the margin to blow out. It might be hard to believe but West Coast have a worst home record than us this season.

Makes the two losses to port while being plenty up and IIRC we were looking the goods against essendon in round 1, win those three and we wouldnt be trying to scrape into 9th.
I'm glad the Port v Carlton game is before us. I remember that game a few years ago where Essendon gifted the Saints that massive percentage boost which saw us miss the top 4. Although even if that game goes our way Sunday will be interesting, its a shame Collingwood don't have much need to win. I guess we'd also want Freo to win to give Geelong a need to win, although think they are on at the same time anyway.
Surely there would be a bigfooty meltdown if the team that finishes 9th knocks them out of the finals.

Yeah - but consider the fact we should never have won vs North or Geelong.... We would be right back to where we are now.
Sorry for intruding. If you guys are serious about wanting to make the finals, you all need to get to the Port v Carlton game and give the 19th man a huge voice, it may just work, helps us but most of all it helps you guys.

If Port are serious about being a "contender" next year, they should go into the finals series on the back of a big win.
I hope Ken puts our best possible side on the park but i have a feeling some of our young guys may get a rest, we will miss Hartlett big time.

What and risk Port choking because they are playing in front of more than 23,000?
That can happen, especially in Hawthorne games, hey. All shit aside, i was being serious, if the Crows want to play finals, it may help.
