A few little things have come up in his pressers.

Today it was harping on about coming back early even though “I played for an extra week” and then saying he wants to “make the midfield better” when the best answer would be “do the best I can to play my role and contribute to the team”.

There’s been a few comments like that which rub me the wrong way.

I actually thought his press conference was really good. He sounds really mature as though he’s been in the system a long time.

You’re being way too pedantic. And we don’t have the messiah complex like some other clubs.

So he has a bit of arrogance of attitude about him? I for one welcome the change.

If we have Shuey, Yeo, Gaff, Sheed and Kelly in the middle and are still playing reactive defensive footy I am going to be pissed.

Then he'll perfectly fit in at the club, right Baz?

You really need to temper your expectations on TK's presses, most of the Journo's are a bunch of dicks.

It great to see you embracing this new freedom of expression. :thumbsu:

Great work calling out journalist too as they are pretty soft targets and yep everyone pretty well agrees with that veiw.

Just take things easy though....steady ....steady. You dont want anyone getting their knickers in a knot now.

Bro temper your expectations, I hear that poster might be moving to the non existent Tassie board.

If he said "even though" I would understand where you're coming from but he didn't, as I think you already recognise having not put quotation marks around those words. All he said, in response to a question about how his training was going was that he had started training 2 weeks earlier than the senior guys in addition to having played an extra week at the end of last season "... so I've been keeping active...". In other words he hasn't had an extensive break.

and then saying he wants to “make the midfield better” when the best answer would be “do the best I can to play my role and contribute to the team”.

Did he say that though?

In response to questions in the vein of "How will it feel to be Nic's designated go to man?" and "What will change for you playing in this midfield as opposed to Geelong's?", he ended with ....

"It's not all about me," he said.

"I'm coming in trying to fit in with this group and try to make it better."

So rather than go along with the reporter's thinking that his inclusion would automatically make the midfield better (which let's be honest, it will) he said it wasn't about him and he's focused on fitting in and trying to make it better.

I don't see anything wrong with what he said at all.

Tim's showing why he is great, talking himself up like a prize fighter. Walk the walk and talk the talk. I for one am sick of the tired old lines...playing for the team...we...we..we.. now I am hearing "I" I like it.

In the mean time he can move to this thread and hang out! ;) :thumbsu:

When the Devils VFL side starts up they will likely get a Tassie Board then.
