I like it, the bloke has worked damn hard to get to where he is and he knows now that his best is elite and will make the team better.A few little things have come up in his pressers.
Today it was harping on about coming back early even though “I played for an extra week” and then saying he wants to “make the midfield better” when the best answer would be “do the best I can to play my role and contribute to the team”.
There’s been a few comments like that which rub me the wrong way.

I dont care if he is the worlds biggest campaigner (and I dont believe he is close- seems a good bloke). If he plays footy for us as well as he did for the Cats and wins us a flag Im happy.Calm down guys, I’m just saying that I don’t like him as much as I thought I would and used one example.
I’ll go delete my account now.

I am not sure this is really the case. I am sure the decision was a mutual one and he wanted to leave as much as she did for the reasons you stated, with it being particulalry hard for her at home without support. He was loyal to Geelong and loved Geelong and had his family situation been different he no doubt would have stayed but I don't think you can then say he 100% wanted to stay etc.I mean the bloke 100% wanted to stay at Geelong, it was his missus and the kids situation that made them move back, he might still be a bit devo for leaving but I'm sure that feeling will fade once the season starts.
Many years ago I was in dinghy that overturned in some very rough weather and I had to swim for 3 1/2 hours to survive with no life jacket, I ended up in emergency with severe burns and seriously dehydrated from exhaustion and swallowing large amounts of sea water, very lucky to survive. Within 1/2 hour of being in the hospital, whilst covered in glad wrap for the burns, on a drip and receiving Morphine, the bloody media were there wanting a story! I told them to politely piss off. Not long after that I made the paper with the headline "man who cheats death" and they fictitiously made up a story around the incident with nothing factual in the entire article. It great to see you embracing this new freedom of expression.
Great work calling out journalist too as they are pretty soft targets and yep everyone pretty well agrees with that veiw.
Just take things easy though....steady ....steady. You dont want anyone getting their knickers in a knot now.
Obeanie, it's a long off season as you know. We are all missing football so much that we are trying to find other ways to amuse ourselves. I would sincerely like to thank you for your initial post regarding tempering expectations, those simple words have brought so much pleasure into so many big footy punters lives.
I'm about to go on five weeks leave to escape the heat in Broome for a bit, so I won't be posting too much on here as I'll be having too much of a good time, hopefully!
Have a great Xmas.
We could get Menegola, Narkle and draft pix
Yes, but not closeIs the Cats Narkle related to our Phil Narkle who is the clubs indigenous liaison officer?
Best episode this season
Dragon Bonding was good too
I have only been involved in a few minor matters that made the media. None were reported in a way that was anything like the truth- and it was pretty simple factual stuff. Just complete fabrications. Hence from that and many other instances I have very little time for the media, I'm 100% sure that many of them live by the motto "never let the truth get in the way of a good story"
I learned to temper my expectations of the media, because the majority of them are dicks.
Did you see his brother Tim?After seeing Tom Kelly in Dunsborough he certainly will need to trim down a bit. Looks like he started on the Christmas pudding early.
Sorry didn't Tim was at the school, gave a press conference on Dunsborough school oval. Some Eagles women's team were also there.Did you see his brother Tim?
