Toast Welcome to Carlton Liam Jones

Welcome Liam.

Not sold on the player but I believe he's probably better than any forward we could pick up in the mid 40s of the draft.

One major bonus this gives us is; after kicking a point which lets face it we will probably do a lot of, having both Jones and Casboult being contested marking beasts will ensure that when the opposition goes long with the kick out (usually to a ruckmen) we will have an excellent opportunity to get the ball back.

I see a lot of people saying how good our marking will be next year, but i really don't see it any different than last year. Waite is excellent in the air, as is Jones. The rest of our forwardline will be pretty similar to this year. I think Jones will be good for us (and durable), i just don't see it as the massive step forward (yet).

Jones and Tutt already at it again! Along with Matthew Watson's sister Liz

You're playing Casboult in the firsts? okay...

Send him to me for a month and I will send back the best set shot in the league....His kicking only blows when he has time to think about the kick. that is totally fixable and that it has not been to date shows how atrocious technical coaching is in the afl.

You got him stupidly cheap (especially in comparison to Stanley for 21 :drunk:). Will most likely flourish not having to be the #1 target.
Your biggest battle is against his brain and his tank.

Was listening to SEN all day at work and was rapt when we landed Liam for a pick that late.

Like many others have mentioned his hands are his biggest strength and he can mark a ball with the best in the AFL. Kicking o.k that may need work but if he is clunking them 25m out on the oppositions 3rd rated defender out who cares!!

Dogs have done the hard work with him developing and maturing a young KPP and we get someone hopefully ready to break out who will not be the sole focus of a teams forward line like he was at the Dogs allowing him some freedom and the 3rd best defender at best.

Welcome to Carlton Liam and go get em mate. :thumbsu:
