Ok, now that Chad has got all that off his chest, it’s time for him to close that book. Don’t wanna hear anything about port again.
Just concentrate on how to be the best he can be and help his new club win premierships!
Can’t wait for 2019!
Will be an interesting first game against Port especially if played in Adelaide. The booing will be immense. FFS....they still boo Burgoyne o_O

Don't mind if Port keep potting Chad for a little longer. Give Wingard some motivation and something to prove.

You know Chad has the talent, but at times looks to lack the mindset.....so if it takes "revenge" to keep him on track, then let Port keep doing it.

I'm surprised that the club would have authorised him doing a piece like that, given how much we normally keep everything in house.

I hope that Chad had permission to comment.
He's been pretty dignified throughout the entire process, whilst Port have been slinging mud ever since (Kane double downed today also)

The true class of Port Adelaide is coming to the surface here. What an amateurish organisation.

All this is working in our favour, Chad is going to be so fired up to prove Port, Kornes and that idiot Tredrea wrong that he’s going to explode next year.

Geez the game at the Adelaide oval against Port will be a firey encounter, of course the AFL will fixture it there, and probably really early on aswell.

Stick it up em Chad

Thinking it will be round 1 or 2 at Adelaide oval. Just so the feral scan boo both Burgoyne and Chad.

I'll admit...after listening to him speak, I am salivating at the prospect of him at the Hawks.

He seems an intelligent, quietly spoken, and driven person, who would be a perfect fit with us. It seems a match made in heaven.

I certainly had no negative opinion towards him, but every thing he says gives me more and more confidence that we have absolutely made the right choice in getting him...even at the price we paid.

Don't disagree with this at all. Even the piece written is well done. I'd just hate to think he'd ridden out the most of it, then went off on his own proactively to get the piece written. But i'm sure it isn't the case.

Also agreed that he comes across as a measured, well grounded fella. Can't wait to see him cut loose. Next recruit to win a brownlow? Or JOM first? ;)

Yep, I figured there's a right of reply when the nuffies in the media go after you the way those muppets have.

With the Franklin and Hill departures you didn't see Dermie or Lethal or Chief talking shit about them in the media on behalf of the club.

Agree, so excited to see what he can do it our system.

Never heard him speak before and was impressed.

And I would add ‘confident’ and ‘leader’. Self confidence can often be misinterpreted for arrogance and perhaps it’s where some of the negative stereotype has come from.

He was still a good contributor last year despite not being fully focused for the whole year- I think he will kick a few butts next year.
