Huge test tonight against Boak and Wines. Will be a teachable experience whichever way it pans out for the Duke.

I feel like it's a bigger test for Worpel and JOM who were both pretty quiet last week, as well as Mitchell to make sure their inside mids don't have it their own way. Theoretically we shouldn't lose the clearance battle but we have, very often. In previous seasons and (very small sample size obviously) this season so far.

article gave me goosebumps. love these 'rags to riches' stories

It's taken a while by AFL standards for them to run with this, but finally it's all out there and clearly put for everyone to understand.

Hell of a read, so awesome to hear he's still blown away by things, shows that he's still hungry and not going to just assume it will all happen for him.

Love that he is a huge fan of Sam the player. Wouldn't be lost on him that Sammy improved himself consistently almost to the end of his career.

Great article and terrific story, especially with him being a Hawks fan as a kid.
His story probably gives other juniors hope of an unconventional path into the AFL.

The chat around his terms at draft time was 4 years from memory.
30 months is what it actually was.

Attended the most CBA's this week, after being right down the pecking order over the first three rounds. Ward on the other hand was right down.

I'm guessing it was a matchup thing, or maybe Sam is just experimenting at this stage?

I think it works better, right now Ward doesn't have the body for inside mid and Newc absolutely does.
