Yeah sounds weird but he always looks pretty solid and a good size to me when watching him. Can't quite put my finger on what it is, maybe its his leg size for his height that makes him look quite solid.

Would be massive for our rebuild if he could hold down a KPD post. Is only one game at BH and a long way to go so patience needed but one to watch for rest of season.

Listed as 193cm at time of draft and it has never been updated. He could be a couple of cm taller but no more than that.

That's quite a jump in cm...bodes well for his future as a 'proper' sized defender. He looked really good on the weekend.

He's also very athletic and has a good leap...was impressive last week especially with his spoiling.

197cm is huge; more than adequate to hold down KPD if he's also got the weight to match KPFs.

Hoe the club will put out some highlights of his performance like they did for DGB.

Serong has had a really solid month now in the VFL playing in defence. Hopefully he’s edging closer to playing in the senior team. His development as a defender has been really impressive given he’s hardly played in that the last two years and the fact that he was drafted as a forward.

Looked the same height as Aaron Cadman who is listed at 195cm who no doubt has grown in the last 10 months since the draft combine.

"Jai had a really good battle with Aaron Cadman, their number one pick from last year’s draft. We gave Jai the job after a really solid performance last week. In the first half he probably got the chocolates, but in the second half, Cadman probably got on top of him. But that’s an exciting thing with what the VFL provides. Two really good young talented footballers going head to head and it was a great battle. Jai was still able to have some influence on the game and get some good development opportunities by playing on a player like Cadman who is versatile, can get up the ground and play deep, has good agility and speed. It was a good opportunity for Jai to test his game out and did well.”

Not only is Serong playing well as a defender in the VFL, but he’s shown that he can also win plenty of the ball. He has really good kicking skills too. Hopefully he plays 1 or 2 games before the year finishes.
