I like his bumps whilst getting the ball or disposing of it. May sound weird to say his bumps are graceful - but they kind of are

I thought the same - all of them made an impact and got the job done but not one of them looked like they could stray into dangerous territory. Great technique.

I can see how their might of been queries on his tank but his kicking is sublime....

Surely he couldn't have improved his kicking that much in one pre season (more likely the recruiters stuffed up again to our benefit)

From memory his TAC highlights showed him being a crash and bash clearance machine that would just bang it on the boot. Seems we have drilled in the art of composure and handball to his game.

we did the same with Titch, asking them to handball rather than sloppy kick it forward unless theres no other choice, has improved Titch's game and now Worpel's

Very good vision like Hill, unlike Hilly though he can hit a target on the lead. Hilly was terrible at first by foot and was never fantastic at it, but he got better as he went along.
Brad Hill had the best efficiency of hitting a target inside 50 by foot in the AFL during 2014 and 2015, He wasn't just good he was elite, the best. Sounds like some selective memory.

Agree with roosforever that's a horrible call. Cyril, Hill, Burgoyne, were all exquisite kicking inside 50 during those years. The level of understanding between them and Breust, Gunston, Rough and Poppy was the main reason for our 3 peat. Mitch Smith, Lewis, Birchall and Hodgey more than worthy of a mention too for their kicking skills but the others had the ability even while running flat out.

Agree that Worpel's kicking looks the goods.

Or no memory.

The only thing kicking related that Hilly did badly was his set shots. Kicking inside 50 and running into goal were always superb.

What was amazing with him is that he always found an option that looked safe and easy, even when they weren't.

I've said numerous times on here that they were like laser-guided missiles - always right on the chest of his target no matter how much congestion they were in.

or selective reading of the post. I was talking about Hilly and his kicking efficiency early in his career. I know he got much better at it as he went along. Kicking was not his strong point in his first year though, let alone first few games, and that was my point.

Sorry mate. You said that Brad Hill was 'never fantastic' at hitting a target. That's #thingstheducksays type stuff.

Yeah, I like the way that he knows how he is going to be tackled and then alters hes path to avoid the tackle or get rid of it if whilst being tackled. Has very good awareness of his surroundings.
