Horrible run of injuries for him, his such a what if player. Has the club managed him poorly this year? His second to the ball at every contest and can’t run out full strides like of old… maybe Lewis needs to change the way he plays, short leadup and become a 120kg power forward, but it means we have to hold a true key forward that can’t defend. (You can only hold one of these players and but can net 50 goals a year)

Unfortunate year now and I’m not sure the club has managed it that well.

Hopefully the saving grace here is he can get his body right over the off season. Club should be sending a please explain to the afl and the head collision with Lewis, such a joke.
His biggest asset is his athleticism. His ability to run 15km in a game and jump on packs.

Increasing his playing weight would nullify those advantages and put extra load on his knee.

That’s a quick turn around for a ACL takes about a year mostly look at Ashcroft.
Yeah you would be looking around the bye rounds next year at best. Big guys can take longer. Giorgiades was a full year and took another 6 weeks to get close to good form

March-April should be 9-10 months. We will hopefully have a good idea around then
First and foremost you just have to feel gutted for Mitch but have to wonder if that left ACL was not fully healed even with his awkward landing against the Cats.

Who was it here that posted the bracing technique for ACL tears? Found the whole thing very interesting. Might be worth seeing if Newmo89 could somehow pass it on to someone at the HFC as an option. I'm sure they'd know of it but it never hurts passing this info around.

Edit: Here's the link for anyone interested in taking there mind off this crappy news
