Not liking the talk of having to get the 2 1st round picks for Houston so we can use one for Lukosius. He's not worth a 1st rounder, for all his supposed elite attributes he's been pretty much a complete flop and seems to lack the mindset to be a dominant player. A 2nd rounder at most.

I really have no feel for what he’s worth in a trade. I do feel that if we get a 2nd 1st rounder in the dan deal (which should be a non-negotiable) and we move that for him that picks coming back our way could be an option.

Especially with the suns having to match for Lombard means some of the mid picks could be available.

Ie gcs have 20,26, 35 and 46.

They’ll lose something there in the rioli deal no doubt. Most of those picks get moved back 3-5 spots due to compo picks.

I think he is very good acquisition. Will be a far better player with us imo.

Yeah i think there’s a chance that a 24yr old tall gets the usual x amount of improvement as he matures like kpps often do, and gets x amount of improvement from the “leaving gcs bump”… suddenly that’s a very useful player on our hands.

Butters will be offered close to 2 million by Tasmania. I’m certain they’ll just give him a blank cheque and say “make yourself happy.”

Doubt it. Reckon Butters will be locked in to Port or a Vic club on a long term deal by end of next year.

Feel some are being very harsh on Luko here. Don’t think the comparisons to Watts are reasonable.

Kicked 40 goals last year as a forward.

Kicked 19 goals in the second half of this season when he went forward again, so again would have been a 40 goal year if he played forward all year.

That’s while playing for GC who although improved, don’t have the midfield we do driving the ball forward.

No reason he won’t continue to be a 40-50 goal forward next to Georgiades.

If we can have them both going at 50 goals a year, that’s a huge improvement to our forward line and will cause a lot of issues.
