Have no idea what we will get from Jack next season. What I do know is that if he doesn't deliver I will be very p*ssed off. This feeling is based on my belief that its all about his attitude rather than his talent.

So we need someone at the footy club to get the best out of him otherwise he's going to waste his footy career. He'll still be rich though regardless.

Have high expectations for him and think he'll be an excellent player for us. Wouldn't be at all surprised if he is our leading goal kicker this coming season and really hits his straps. Without Dixon clouding space up forward, we've seen before we are much more open and allow forwards to lead into that 35+m from goal territory. Thats perfect spacing for Luko with his leg to work into.

Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him outperform Georgiades and take control of our forward line.

Hope he smashes it and delivers on the promise he showed as a junior but I will be shocked if by the mid-point of the season he isn't the forum's new whipping boy, taking the place once held by Chaplin, Westhoff, Pittard and currently held by Marshall.

I think his output will be similar to Marshall - disappointment and frustration, coupled with going missing in big games. Will kick plenty against bottom sides.

Agree it will be on the club to turn the attitude around not sure we currently have that person on the coaching staff.

I think he’ll be exciting at the start then drop off as our game plan gets exposed.

Our team is the epitome of average coach v excellent coach. If we had a Chris’s Scott, Longmire etc here some of these maligned players wouldn’t be maligned

If we don’t measure Lukosius by goals kicked, who is the forward - tall or otherwise - on our list who will get measured by goals kicked? At the end of the day it has to be someone’s job to kick a few.

Anyone forward of centre, a good spread of goal kickers.

Total number scored by the team would be the indicator in that case.

I see Lukosius as the centre half forward or half forward flank who leads up to the wing to retain the ball coming out of defence , occasionally dropping back into a deep forward role when the ball has come down the opposite wing

Last season we finished with a starting forward line of:

DBJ - Dixon - Rioli
Mead - MG - Esava

With Narkle, McEntee, Evans coming off the bench / Sub.

Now we have a forward line to start the season with:

Richards - Marshall - Rioli
SPP - Luko - MG

With DBJ, Mead
and Berry coming off the bench / sub.

What an enormous increase in scoring and football ability.

I’d like to see SPP spend more time on the ball. We can afford to do that now.

Luko is potentially a great get. Keep him in the forward half for the whole season.
He won't be our saviour.
But he offers a point of difference to Charlie, which will hopefully force someone at the club to bludgeon Hinkley into changing his flawed game plan - finally!

I'd say probably only Georgiades and Rioli are players on the list for whom goals kicked are the be all and end all, but i'd even accept them having comparatively leaner seasons if we are efficient and effective going forward and the load is spread.

It's the team's job to kick goals. They're worth 6 no matter who kicks them. If our forward efficiency sucks then everyone playing and coaching is partly to blame. If players aren't kicking goals, they need to be doing something else to add value.

I think it makes sense for SPP to rotate through the midfield when Rozee or JHF are up forward. He's like a cannonball and he's got excellent clean hands.

Or even when Drew is on the bench - use him to create space for the others and play a more defensive mid role if the oppo has their hands on the ball.
