Solid pick methinks, needed to pick a good KPD prospect this draft with Glassy's end in sight. Has some nice qualities, all the best to him as a eagle :thumbsu:

"A strong key defender, who is very creative with the ball in his hands. Loves to intercept opposition forward 50 entries, and always uses the ball well by foot. Likens himself to Geelong champion Harry Taylor, Eagles recruiters rated him higher than his eventual draft position of 43.

Surprised? We'd be pretty unhappy if he was 43rd on our list.

Don't see the Hunter comparison TBH.

For mine he is a Glass type but a little taller. Pretty solid around the hips ala Glass, knows when to leave his opponent and take an intercept mark, cut in front of the pack and looks decent on the rebound by foot for a big bloke.

With Glass almost done and the age of MacKenzie, Brown and Schofield we were always looking for another big tall back man.

Looks the goods with brains to match by the sounds of it. Nice choice with the next best two KP backs gone.:thumbsu:

Timed zig zag type running around marker poles

Like the look of this guy. Basically a taller, more agile upgrade on Wilson IMO

Yep, Wilson is a fine player, he is just treacle slow. I agree that Barass looks similar but more athletic.

192-195 cm pack-marking players with well weighted long kicks and an attacking mindset cannot be a bad thing at pick 43.

Too slow or too short, depending on your POV. Too slow to play on smaller players and too short to play on KP players. Barrass is a much better allround prospect.

Sadly he is slow even for a tall. Kennedy or Darling would kill him on the lead.

Really liked his interview, spoke really professionally and confidently. I know he was a Hale boy so that's not surprising :p Good to hear he was captain of the Claremont Colts team, another leader to add to our group along with Dom.
