I've seen every one of Josh's colts games. What a languid, athletic prospect. With those telescopic arms and neat left foot. He's a very gentile fellow. Needs a bit more mongrel maybe. I'm rubbing my hands together at WA's potential forward line in 2025 but I'll expand on that tomorrow.

I didn't know he had a sister. Good grief, 192cm already at 15. She is going to test any defender.

With Cooper Ramsay staying fit, young Josh should play more as KP for EF in 2025. Kicked a few early on as a permanent forward, before thrusted into the ruck, when EF designated ruck Sander got a season ending injury mid season.

But I'll do defenders, utilities, mids and rucks in the coming week or so. Whan is absolutely in the mids preview along with bolter Luke Hallett from East Perth. I have a feeling he's going to catch the eyes of many observers.

Lucas Ravenhill+ (CL) 199cm As mentioned in the forwards list, Ravenhill should mainly spend time up forward, with his strength, mobility and booming kick. But maybe he could pinch hit in the ruck for a few minutes if needed. If he doesn't get drafted this year, he will be unstoppable as an overager in 2025 at any level - including national 18's.

Cooper Ramsay (EF) 200cm Discovered in a talent search contest mid-season. Oddly, he wasn't a basketballer but a rugby and soccer player. Gave footy a try, loved it and was included in the WA 16's squad as a development player. Was impressive until injury struck in the championships and also made his colts debut for the Sharks.

Benji Van Rooyen** (CL) 200cm Had a quiet national 16's campaign but at 200cm already, the selectors are keen to see how he develops. At this stage he is raw and gangly. I think he might benefit from spending time in the ruck to get him involved in the game. Eventually with confidence and some ruck possessions he could slot back into a key forward role. An interesting prospect.

Frazer Rickson (S) 196cm The most competitive ruckman in the league now with the 2024 cohort moving on. Obviously he can't be a permanent ruckman at senior level at 196cm although he might have grown. With his hard at it approach he could well develop into a tight checking centre half back. I could even see him being the tallest mid in WAFL colts in 2025 because he does bash and crash and compete with smaller mids. Must fine tune his kicking technique.

Louis Gualter (PT) 201cm Hasn't played a colts game yet. A surpise selection in the WA 2024/25 squad. I'm looking forward to seeing him play.

Joshua Nomlatyu (EF) 197cm Full Forward/CHF/Forward pocket is his best position with his African athleticism, telescopic arms and great co-ordination. A good left foot kick for goal also. Might slot into the ruck for five minutes here and there because of his leap.

Axel Walsh*** (EP) 200cm Reputed to be in the top 3 players for his age in the country and from what I saw in the national 16's (As a below ager), it's hard to disagree. Not just a big kid for his age but a very very good mover and athlete. But surely the WA selectors wouldn't punt on a 16 year old would they?

A forward for sure but when he is getting shut down he does move on to a wing now and then to get him into the game.

He didn't have a great 2024 and the likes of Wesley Walley and Koby Evans moved above him as small, elusive forwards but there is no doubting Hart's talent.
