What’s up with Cripps?

It is an indictment on players like Setterfield/Kennedy/Dow - that they aren't rated high enough based on their actual efforts - to substitute for a very sore Cripps. Levi / Williams / Saad have all been played very sore - so obvious to me why the team hit the wall by quarter3/4 every game and why we got smashed by the doggies in midfield last week.

If fingers need pointing it is at the plethora of so-called inside mids who play like puppies in VFL but still feel entitled to starting spots as on ballers - that is where the problem always has been - a bunch o skinny runts with blow average appetites for the hardball and an inability to run both ways for 4 quarters.

Club denies it.

the cynic in me is starting to get very cynical..... not playing well, playing with some sort of injury clearly, contract up for negotiation, value dropping by the week.......

could the Cripps camp have leaked this and the club doesn't want it known?

this could get very messy very soon....alarm bells going off everywhere

You're like a forward who misses a gimme then immediately starts pointing everywhere to man up because that's more important and helps to obscure your own effort which was of course, the game's gone past our 26 year old Captain.
My original comment included a disclaimer that injury could be playing a part. I was merely vocalising some of my observations (something that tends to get frowned upon around here if it doesn't fall in line with the group think). I'm not fussed about being right or wrong, just thinking out loud. In my comment that you quoted here, I didn't even need to refer back to my previous comments, but I was happy to admit a mistake.
"Obscure my own effort"? I was highlighting it and falling on my sword.
You need to stop appointing yourself as the doyen of all that is right or wrong around here. You don't need to call people out on pedantic bullshit.

Then stop using pendantic bullshit.

"The story right now should be whether Cripps is fine to play and yes he is. That's exciting for us and for our fans. He's completing all of our training and he's playing strong. That's what we want."

Who the **** you trying to kid David?

It's likely there are multiple scenarios/agendas at play here, especially if player managers are in the mix. None of them are productive. I just hope it doesn't get messier, but that would be the Carlton way...
