Maybe but some assistants don't make great coaches and his dogmatic approach was going to tire out all the players in the end.Nice to see our previous coach get a little appreciation in the Herald Sun today.
I know it’s a sore spot for a number here
But he is without a doubt second to none as a development coach.
Our players have tired out even without BrendanMaybe but some assistants don't make great coaches and his dogmatic approach was going to tire out all the players in the end.
The other thing with that article is that perhaps someone should point out to Robbo that Melbourne have not done anything yet!
Not before they did something Brendan couldnt and we couldn't for 62 bloody long years!!!!Our players have tired out even without Brendan
I'll be annoyed if we trade Wallis. As one of the few experienced players, we should fight to keep him.Wallis rumours:
I really rate Wallis. Great player.

Pretty safe speculation I would say given his record with usThat we will never know
Speculation nonethelessPretty safe speculation I would say given his record with us
Yeah like 99.9% of BFSpeculation nonetheless
It would be a brave move to trade a Wallis, part of the fabric of the club. Fallout might not be worth it.I'll be annoyed if we trade Wallis. As one of the few experienced players, we should fight to keep him.
It would be Wallis choosing to seek a career elsewhere as a f.a. The fabric will be fineIt would be a brave move to trade a Wallis, part of the fabric of the club. Fallout might not be worth it.
I don’t get it either, Mitch Wallis is the type of fella all footy clubs need. We don’t know what happens inside the club, and I’ll always barrack for the club but I wouldn’t financially support the club in any way if we were pushing out guys like Mitch Wallis ...and Jordan Roughead too. I’ve been surprised he was dropped when we’ve desperately needed experience and leadership.Wallis rumours:

Seriously though, I can see us picking up a low pick mid (smith or Hateley perhaps) as well as getting Libba back and Riley West. Then we could make a play for Kelly and Shiel in 2020.I don’t get it either, Mitch Wallis is the type of fella all footy clubs need. Our players voted leadership group hasn’t worked either. But that’s another issue.

Where would we play him?
He is a mid rotation. Not a starter in a midfield with Libba, new inside mid. Bont, Macrae and McLean.
He need to show he can take one of those spots. Unless he can show versatility and make another position his own, he must lifts his game as a midfielder.
