I remember, like it was yesterday, being enrolled in an extracurricular course of no particular consequence in the early 90s. A particularly attractive girl was always seated next to me over the duration. This was somewhat distracting and possibly explains my steady progress as opposed to spectacular.

Anywho, there was one particular occasion when I was asked to literally spell something out in front of the class. I shudder when i think about it now. What person in their right mind pronounces the letter H as haychh (it's aychh ffs). Not me. Not before or since....but on that warm summer's evening in the 90's, because she did, I did. It's a shame I carry with me to this day.

Seems like VU have transferred their naming rights to the 'high performance centre' (ie our training facilities) as opposed to the ground itself.

"Victoria University High Performance Centre at Mission Whitten Oval" certainly is a mouthful.

Unfortunately we've had those players for the last two seasons and have 0 finals wins to show for it.

We had many close losses last year. I feel we’ve cut many players that made up our bottom 6 players from last year. Hopefully that means we can inject some of the younger recruits into the team who just weren’t ready. Back 6 will be a different mix with JOD, Coff and Khamis supporting Jones, which will hopefully lead to less back half turn overs.

Just don’t think the market trusts the dogs. Finding a way to lose to Hawthorn then West coast late in the season with finals on the line was inexcusable. Also media rumors about instability between Bevo and Grant would reduce confidence, however I think the new coaching line up might just bring the best out of Bevo again.
