Listening to that SEN interview with Ameet Bains I have completely changed my mind on playing Darcy this year. If he has grown around 5 cm in 2022 I would be wary of putting too much stress on his body. I am not a medico but if the feet problems are related to growth and stress , let the boy relax. the risk might be too high for a few games of development.

Wouldn’t he be just as likely to injure himself this way in a VFL game rather than AFL.

Thankyou MYOB, 2 great gets. Atkinson, Lawson, BainS, how many games have they played ? What would they know ? Anyone who's played the game knows that Bev's
(a) an egomaniac who doesn't know what he's doing;
(b) has unworthy "favourites";
(c) lacks a game plan;
(d) won't listen to imput from qualified Assistants;
(e) alienated superstars like Young and Lipinski.

Sarcasm the lowest form of wit, mea culpa. I have no idea whether the ABC duo have got it right or not but the tactic they publish, the triangle, is an explanation for the bewildering selections and field placements we see on our screens, something to look at tomorrow evening. They make sense, as does the tactic of playing defenders in front of their forwards, so that the oppositions' mids streaming in, if under pressure, see our jumpers. Maybe McComb gets to his part of the triangle more quickly than anyone else. Maybe Gardner does something in the Bev defence set up better than Cordy or, in the past, Young. Maybe Ugle-Hagan does something within Bev's expectation that justifies his selection above goal kicking and 2nd efforts.

Good stuff MYOB

The content is mostly old news now, but at the time was worth noting for the double-page WB content in a paper that has NRL and RU as its most prominent sports.

I presume the Rohan Connolly article appeared in the Vic press too.

Then the next day, another big article ...

Hmmm... seems the common theme here is a long haired photogenic hunk with a massive Twitter following.
Takes up a lot of the real estate on each page.

Baz is keeping us relevant!
