I've had enough of all of these kents already.

Nothing would satisfy me more right now than drafting H.Reid and watch him kick a bag against the tin-rattlers.

And anyone else wanting to entertain splitting the pick in this massively compromised draft needs to give themselves an uppercut as well.

AFL priority pick I assume ...
Its bad enough having our pick 19 getting pushed out so much but imagine being someone like Saints with pick 12.
3 / maybe 4 Academy players, 2 father sons, 1 free agency and 1 priority pick and all of a sudden pick 12 is pick 19/20.

Its like having an expansion club all over again. So glad we got pick 1 before all the bullshit

What's even worse is the new rule about top 20 picks being on 3 year contracts. You could go from pick 14/15ish and 3 years to pick 21 and 2 year contract. Instead of making it all first round picks on 3 years they go with pick 20.

On one hand, imagine having your parents follow you across the country. I moved to the east coast at 18 and would have been absolutely mortified if they came along.

On the other, and without knowing anything about his parents or what they do, the prospect of landing high paying jobs at an Eagles sponsor like BHP or MinRes might be appealing. And they might be independently keen on coming over like all the other east coasters.

On the other, other hand, this is probably totally bullshit.
I dont know what could possibly make you think someone coming over to WA following their son playing footy would just walk into a high paying job in mining with a nice even time roster simply because most of minings management in WA are rabid eagles fans.

Ridiculous thing to say.

Don't worry. North board is unhappy at the prospect of 2,3,11 & 16* being 2, 3 & 5 should they trade for CG's pick.

It should have been 2, 3, 5 & Sanders or 1, 3 & Sanders if trading with West Coast for pick 1.

Personally I'd only trade pick 1 if we could guarantee getting Curtin and 1 of McKercher, Duursma and Sanders (who I think could be the best pure mid in this draft)

The only way I see this happening is if North get 2,3 and 5 then trade 2 and 5 for 1.

North could then take Reid, reach for O'Sullivan at 3 (and still have 11 and 14) and we get Curtin and Sanders/Duursma.

Pie in the sky stuff I know!!

Yes weird sutff by AFL but thats just what we come to expect though.

Yep, in this year's draft especially. I think the issue is the AFL may pick an arbitrary point to parachute North into, thereby pushing 6 clubs back a pick.

At some point, the other clubs have to ask, "how many times do we have to take a hit to prop these mofos up?".
Esp if your 20 x 3 year deal pick becomes a 21 x 2 year pick.
