I've had enough of all of these kents already.

Nothing would satisfy me more right now than drafting H.Reid and watch him kick a bag against the tin-rattlers.

And anyone else wanting to entertain splitting the pick in this massively compromised draft needs to give themselves an uppercut as well.

Crouch likely wont be here when we contend again, and if he was he'd be on his last legs. Sure he would improve usfor 12 to 24 months but he would want more than a 2 year deal on decent coin.

Id rather invest in 22 to 24 year olds and if they made the grade they would be younger than 30 when we contend again.
He'd still provide far greater protection for Culley and Ginbey on the inside. Allow them more time to develop. Both of whom I think will be better than Dev anyway. Culleys one wood I'll back to be better, plus he'll end up going forward too. Ginbey will have a whole bag of clubs to pick from.

I just don't think Dev would add that much. I haven't even started following him on Insta yet ;)

If not Crouch, we can do better imo.

Rhys Unwin looks like a good small forward prospect very busy
Smartt (no 11 for Bendigo) is another good option later in the draft. Played really well against the Vic Metro game, won Bendigo their game earlier this year against Gippsland and done some mercurial things again today, including a fantastic snap from deep in the pocket. Good in the air as well.

Admittedly I didn't watch the game but going by the stats, I'm not blown away if that's some of the best he's got. 15 possies, 9 uncontested and 6 contested, 5 score involvements, 2 centre clearances. 6 tackles which is pretty good I suppose.

I still don't love him like a lot on here and think we can do better with a list spot.
I watched it closely and it's what he did at key moments that had a positive impact for the team. Most of the tackles and 1%s turned into turnovers.

Nah, Reid has shown his talents already so will go #1 regardless.
Had he not had a great year or got injured earlier than I'd be more worried.

Probably just got a small injury and decided to wrap him up in cotton wool. no point wrecking yourself before getting drafted.

I still think we'd be better off with Crouch who as a far superior trick, albeit a one trick pony.
Crouch and Culley feeding it to Ginbey, Kelly, Reid and Hewett sounds better for mine.
Why take a slow 28yo over a faster 22 yo who hasn't hit there full potential. We have short memories about how the likes of TK wasn't even drafted until he was 23. I'm not saying he is TK but just like Dow, some kids take longer. He comes from a team that has won more games in the last 4yrs than any other. Hard to get into a FT inside mid position with Neale, Dunkley, zorko. He is a leader and doesn't cost us anything. No brainer for me

Hope it's not serious for Reid

That'd definitely shake things up
He didn’t hit the turf screaming in pain like you see with most ACL injuries but it certainly looked awkward, his leg got caught straight as he was fending off and he got pushed backwards at the same time hopefully just a hyper extension or something

If you search this board history, I was wanting TK taken years before he was picked up.

I just don't see it with Dev (I didn't see his last game though). He looks a slightly better XON and that's about it...We can do better, even if we go to the draft I think we can do better.

In regards to Crouch, I'm not in love with the idea but I like it better. People are too obsessed with speed. I still think there is room, albeit for only one, pure clearance specialist. The guy that may not be fleet of foot but can with first ball, has excellent vision and lightning hands. They open up the play for everyone else. Speed of brain/hands will always beat feet in tight. You can't have more than one these days though or agreed it's too much of a defensive liability.

If it's their one wood, they've got to be elite. (Carl Hooper at 1992 Texas open elite)

There's no strapping or anything on Harley's legs. Make of that what you will.

What do you make of his pace it’s the thing with him that concerns me otherwise he looks a player ready to go next year.
He hasn't had to show it tbh. The translation up to AFL may be a legitimate concern but that's so speculative. Has been a beast around the stoppages though.

As an aside it wouldn't surprise me to see the umpires had given 50 free kicks, such is the lopsidedness of the umpiring today.
