It's an original question. Someone should ask him next time he's at a presser. Confronting, but I'd love his view.

As a Swan supporter, I will have no problem what so ever if our club went after Gibbs or Murphy as I know that both would thrive in our system, one in which both parties would improve significantly

Yep, id take both at hawthorn. Reckon both would thrive. I'd give a first rounder for each.

And you trust that? GWS said that they would not trade Boyd under any circumstances but that did. You cant trust anything anyone says now.

Boyd wanted to leave, Gibbs doesn't

Griffen a players who wanted to go to GWS and Pick 6 in exchange for player who didn't want to be there

Wouldn't pay much more than pick 30. He is gutless and never stands up when the team needs him
He did it plenty of times last year. Remember the Geelong game? He was arguably better than Judd in our final in 2013. He also runs both ways and has spent years filling holes for Carlton. Half back, tagger, half forward, even KP.

He's a damn fine player and those who know footy know this.

He is just in a seriously bad form slump right now which probably has something to do with the club he's playing at. My opinion is he bought what the club was selling him last year, re-signed, thought they were a chance to contend then 2 weeks in his president announces a rebuild. Instantly deflates him. Best for him to move on.

1st rounder easy, he's worth a top 12 pick.

You would be laughing all the way to the bank if you got pick 12 for him. He needs to skip down the yellow brick road and get a heart courage and a brain first. He has only ever ha on good year out of his 8 or 9 at AFL level. He has never played as a key positions player. He ha been tried in all this different positions because he was struggling to crack it as a mid. He looked like he would be a good player when he was running around at under 18 level but has done nothing but disappoint since

No mate, he was never given a chance as a mid from Pagan and Ratten. Pagan played him as a back pocket lock down player to 'teach him the game'. And because he was good defensively Ratts played him as a HBFand a tagger. He was too versatile for his own good. The only time he ever played midfield was under Mick and he flourished.

Our development of him was awful.

A top 6 club would give up their first for him. Guarantee it.

Gibbs ain't going anywhere, one thing is rebuilding but need experience around the youngsters as well

It's proof that in the end, money is important but mostly it is general happiness that makes players leave clubs for another club.
Both those boys wouldn't be unhappy at either of our clubs as our clubs are strong from top to bottom with administration fully behind the coaching departments.

I'd take Gibbs at West Coast for our first rounder, he'd really add something to our midfield and fits in the right age bracket that he'd still be in-form but a senior player when we probably will be contenders next. Murphy in my opinion has less outstanding attributes and is probably worth a little less but still a very handy player, a team like the suns could really use him now.

Ablett is a level above everyone else.

Gibbs at his best though can basically match it with any other mid. Although Fyfe and Pendles could almost be at that Ablett level right now.

Funniest shit I have read in here for a while.

There are a dozen mids who are better than Gibbs at his best.
