Landman is equal parts great and terrible.

I'm sort of enjoying it, mostly cause Billy Bob is having the time of his life, but it's also like Taylor Sheridan used up all his female character writing credits on Lioness and didn't have any left over for this. Cause goddamn the ex-wife and daughter fluctuate from making it seem like their in a bad SNL skit to a porno in any given scene.

My favourite Seinfeld ep will always be The Gum, featuring Geoffrey Haarwood, he of the The Institute for the Preservation of Motion Picture Costumes and Wardrobes (also known as the IPMPCW).
"You see, this is what the holidays are all about, 3 buddies sitting around chewing gum".
I use that line often.
I’ve noticed the official Sony YouTube page have been uploading lots of clips lately, it used to be only the Seinfeld page doing it. I think they are preparing people to get excited about the BluRay/4K sets in a couple of weeks.

La Brea - watched the pilot ep and am shocked it was approved to continue let alone 3 seasons. Worst pilot ever. Acting deplorable as well as plot of rubbish
Haha yep and it gets worse. I watched the whole series 😂

The best acting was done by Bay St, Port Melbourne posing as La Brea Boulevard

Going through the seasons and part way through season 5 - The Cigar Store Indian had me laughing a lot.... just when Jerry thinks he's smoothed things over

listening to the Prestige podcast today and then going on about Le Bereau reminds me how much I absolutely loved that show and characters. It was a phenomenal series. But back then I didn’t have to wait for weekly airings…

I’m invested in the US version after 2 episodes but it’s gonna be a long journey.

If it’s half as good it will be worth it.

is anyone else a fan of Bunheads? One season and then it's torn away from us. I dream of a Gilmore Girls/Bunheads crossover to help give us closure on everything. Especially if they have Emily Gilmore meet Fanny Flowers. I would die happy.

Speaking of Gilmore Girls/crossovers, I only just discovered the Gilmore Girls - Sopranos Paradox. This could also make for a meta-cross over where the universes start inverting on themselves:

In Season 6, episode 4 an episode of the Sopranos, an episode of Gilmore Girls is playing on TV.

In Season 7, episode 17 of Gilmore Girls, Richard is wearing a tracksuit. Lorelai makes a joke about it by asking if he's having lunch with Tony Soprano.

So obviously this means that both the Sopranos and Gilmore Girls exist as television shows in the other's respective universe. But more alarmingly, this means that each universe has now become a televised universe of itself within their own universes. When the Gilmore Girls watch the Sopranos, they will see themselves in the show. Likewise, when Tony Soprano watches Gilmore Girls, he will witness a direct reference to himself. It's like the effect of two mirrors facing each other: the universes of the Gilmore Girls and the Sopranos are infinitely replicated all the way down.

Yep, I finished it yesterday and can definitely recommend 'Say Nothing'. It's tricky to explain, but it's just very well made in that it does a good job to make the people/cahracters feel extremely real, without making the story so bleak - as some of the (admittedly still excellent) IRA movies have tended to do.

Extra points for including Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Nidge from 'Love/Hate') & Josh Finan (The Responder & The Gentleman) as Gerry Adams, of all people.

I also didn't know that actor Stephen Rea from The Crying Game was married for 20 years to the woman who helped blow up a London court for the IRA! She is the main character here.
Also just finished. Up there with Shogun for best of the year.

Six in and this really good - highly recommended. You forget what a ****ed up time this was for Northern Ireland.
Thanks for the heads up ( by everyone)

At a loss - didnt want to do movies and while I have some stuff on backlog I wasnt feeling it so started this

4 episodes in and wow. Its not so much the action or story but the human side of it.

I think Gough would be a fan

Finished Cross... it was fine but it really stretched credulity by the end and hit a shit-ton of tropes, so on brand for James Patterson, I guess. I might watch season 2 when it comes out, but not a high priority watch.

Might put on The Agency next.
