Started Mythic Quest recently and then out of nowhere the Dark Quiet Death ep
James Franco GIF
ep 'Quarantine': hold my beer...in your screen

that was a fantastic first season for a half hour comedy, loved it, all the characters are great fun. But yeah that pandemic special was so fire. Jo is a great small-dose character, always good for a rofl.

Boardwalk was excellent, very addictive for the first 3 seasons especially. I seem to recall feeling that it didn't properly recover after Eddie Kessler's exit during S4, heading into a mid-season lull. Every season there was a departure of sorts and they'd paper over the cracks with a couple exciting new faces (common among crime dramas). But it was the kind of show where you always had a few engrossing characters to follow anyway.

Ive gone old skool and started watching House for the first time ever.
Something pretty comfortable about jumping into an old procedural like this, simpler times.
It's very repetitive and formulaic. I got over it after about 4 seasons.

It was enjoyable though.

Started that a couple of months ago. I love it, easy to just sit down and watch an ep but not so 'bingeable' that I lose a whole night to it.

Boardwalk was the great HBO hope after the Sopranos but for some reason it never really took off. Maybe the audience was expecting Sopranos at the sea back then? The performance of the Ww1 Vet across the seasons was fantastic.

Suppose we need to be careful with spoilers.

Absolutely love Come Dine With Me! The narrator makes me laugh, he's so snarky.
There have been a few series, from different countries. I like the show, it’s a window into different cultures, but the food seems universally awful 🤨.

Where is it on at the moment?

Gasometer said the UK version is on SBS Monday to Thursday at 9.30am. I don't watch it regularly but sometimes when I visit my Dad we'll find it streaming somewhere and have a little marathon. We enjoy the UK version the most, but like you I appreciate seeing how normal people from different cultures live and entertain. There's a refreshing authenticity about the contestants.

Come Dine..

The Uk version gets such extreme people; the other night a Bmx World Champ was on bunny hopping over a guest lying on the ground between servings

Their kitchens are often horrible looking things and the interactions between guests are lol

The Covid episodes are sad with the social distancing

Agree, I watched the first season and half then lost interest.

From memory It just doesn't stick the feel and landing

I reckon had they have started the Nucky back story from Ep 1 instead of when it did it arrive it would have made for a more compelling commencement, because when it did appear it was engaging

Half way through Boy Swallows Universe.

It's a well made Aussie show (rare) just not sure I enjoy all the bad shit that's happening to these poor boys.

Without spoilers, you've seen the best of it. At some point soon the story jumps forward a few years and the kid who plays Older Eli is nowhere near as good as 13yo Eli, who was part of what made the show so great.

Started Seinfeld Season 8 last night - already up to episode 6 :p

Should have finished 7 a few nights ago (started it last weekend) - but had one night off from watching any episodes and another night I "attempted" a viewing - ended up replaying "The Wig Master" several times as a result as I'd fall asleep during it several times that night :p
