If he works on his fitness, we might be able to develop him into a runner.

or maybe there's a spot in the membership section if he gets his maths up to scratch. Talking about the membership division, i hear will kelly has been signed to a 10 year contract after which he is going to be ceo membership before taking over from dad...

Given it is nor much happening you mob could be forgiven for endlessly regurgitating the same nonsense. That said, the Browns are not a dead horse but rather a fossilized carcass you need to stop gnawing on. Significantly they are now a carcass that belongs to someone else. Attributing your feeble efforts to this outcome is much like attributing your endless staring at the sun to the occurrence of sunspots.
In coffee-related news, I can confirm that BOTH Daicos boys now visit the bakery and have loyalty cards. Speaks volumes about their character. Mind you, the young lady serving (who is a massive Pies fan and thrilled that they are now locals) agreed that Almond Lattes were a poor choice and simply backs up the theory that you should never meet your heroes.

Carry on, as you were.
This is the sort of nonsense you are encouraging. I go on the training thread, hoping to hear Tay finally nailed a 40m pass to read who drinks what with coffee.

If you keep drifting your net through the shallows you are bound to catch only irrelevant minnows. Personally, I am interested in this Edward guy, according to some heir apparent for WHE. Will he reach the heights of WHE as a whipping boy? This is one of the many relevant questions you mob are missing. Keep up, the season will be over on you will still be rabbiting on about some Begg ar or another .

I think the great whippers of the past will tell you that you save your powder for the season. While I'm happy that another team has taken over ownership papers for the browns, I dont see much wrong with some harmless fun.

i agree that the training thread is struggling to be a step ahead of the word association thread....

Word association thread is fun.
Harmless as you say.
Spend a minute or two a day passing time.
I think they should up the stakes to include rhyming words.
Hardas ???

That Daicos story really makes you ponder one of the great dilemmas of our age.

Is it ok to drink woke milk in your coffee, if it's to pick up a hot woke coffee seller?

i know I'm entering a no go zone but i hope the coffee seller was "suitable" for a collingwood player.

You can't expect to just turn on quality lashing in the season if you don't get in a decent pre-season of whipping.

yeh but you can still practice on the sheep dog or dig up the old ollie henry thread. That one will get everyone in the whipping mood. I'm glad to see him gone but geez he was easy to hate...

i'll get motivated when i see that hyphen guy lose a game for us... or see bianco run down after having a 20 metre break...or darcy cameron fall back into being the useless tool that he is...and then i'll feel my blood boil and then i'll start ranting and then the whips will come out

Woke coffee only attracts tepid baristas. Straight-up black if you want the crema, if you know what I mean.

Nonsense? Nonsense! These are the minutiae that help build a complete picture. You may be a big picture kind of poster, but I'm all about attention to the 0.001%

I understand that may not be everyone's cup of tea...

I think the woke coffees can be an indication of a lack of commitment to the magpie mongrel ideals. A player needs to dedicate their whole life to winning a premiership. Certain traditions are ok such as the end of year footy trip or the occasional alpha male indulgence. However, sipping lattes down at the local coffee shop or attendance at some artist's gallery exposition is an legitimate warning of a lack of mongrel.....and I think we're all on the same page when it comes to mongrel....

I found this image on a fan fb page from training today. Now I am sure that Mark will not approve of the different looks that Darcy is rocking at training.

It's more fundamental and scientific than that and more about the milk choices rather than the coffee itself.

Dairy has calcium which is good for your bones.

A simple case study:

Tom Hawkins is a dairy farmer and he's still kicking goals at 50 years of age. Darcy Moore is suspected of being a plant based milk enthusiast. He wasn't strong enough to kick goals, so we moved him to defence and now at just 26 years of age his skeleton is riddled with disease.

I totally agree but I always go back to Jock and the four-peat premiership boys.... ...would they have even considered going veg? missing out on roat lamb on a sunday?

If you dont learn from the past, then you're going to keep losing grand finals....and we need to lock into those good healthy living practices of our grandfathers and great grandfathers in and around the depression...

You could argue that Tom Hawkins is kicking goals because he is a country boy and these guys usually steer of all the modern stuff about soy and haircuts and waxing of their nether regions, although ginnivan is a worry. At best, it's all superfluous. At worst, it drains a man of his manhood......and he can lose one of the most valuable things in footy.....mongrel.

dont get me started on that keane piece of crap.... evidently the money must have run out and he does have the brains to do anything else but play a couple of obscure irish games.

Can Tyler and Keane still carry on in this thread.?
They can still be whipped but are not eligible for the Blair Memorial Trophy.

I just dont think they get the passionate comments that they got when they were on the list. They're almost doing the Pies a favour by inflicting their incompetence and unprofessionalism on the crows. I dont bear any grudges against that irish twit for wasting our time. As for Nat Fyfe Brown, it was unfortunate that he got so close to emulaing the dual brownlow medallist by wearing footy boots and actually playing on the same ground.

There seems to be a lack of understanding of the subtle differences between what we yell out about opposition players versus our own. We abuse players from other clubs to break their spirit, whereas we whip our own to motivate them to work on their weaknesses (usually being a spud or worse still - soft).

Magden is playing over in SA as well.

Not always, I think. I was abusing the browns to get them out the door. There are some players that just dont meet the standards of a collingwood player. But if Will Kelly actually learns how to play football this year, I might be more willing to accept him. It's hard to be so generous when he is doing things with his hair that are just unacceptable. So it's complicated for me, but I follow your thinking.
