Interesting given Daicos played a junk game in round 21 per Carlton supporters yet the midfield still got up
That the one Farcical Fly rigged the votes to get him his beloved coaches award? Ironically one of the awards Fudgey has spent years demeaning in regards to a Carlton player potentially winning it... Something about "Individual Awards" from memory.

Coaches would be the plural in the kidgoat's case it was 'a' coach's award.

There is genuine fear amongst Blues fans in this thread. The panic is evident.
The BLUESHAKES are coming.
I checked the ladder after the trade period - no change
I might check it again after the draft when the pies claim draft victory over the Blues and our list is weakened and Collingwood claim unhidden gems

A clearly panicked response.

No but I'm sure you guys have pencilled in two wins from your two home games against "Norf", with 15 goals to Charlie and 6 votes to Cripps 😆
they will be tougher opposition than your mob thats for sure!

Oh boy.

Just saw the votes in this thread.

Not a lot of confidence in Carlton, who have been building and rebuilding for over two decades to get to where there are now, with their best 6 players (upon whom Carlton rely more than any other team in the competition relies on their best 6 players) in the absolute prime of their careers....

Oh well.

Ubershizens may have to call on The Cavalry to help with the vote tally!
Think it is hawks supporters hoping you are right death riding carlton

Who said "junk" game? Not being the the top handful players on the ground doesn't mean you were "junk".
You guys really need to let this go, you are embarrassing yourselves.

Carlton supporters and Voss are the only ones who didn't think Daicos was 'in the top handful of players' in that game, given he polled votes in basically every award we have visibility of, including receiving 2 votes in the Brownlow.

So if there was any bias from that game, it was AGAINST Daicos, by Voss excluding him from his votes.

Did you check the fixture that enabled Carlton to get an elevated ladder position after round 24, as evidenced by their turning out of one of the most pathetic finals performances in the history of the game?

Had that changed?

Talking about letting go , if you are going to reference the brownlow, then you really need to acknowledge the best player in the game currently - P Cripps. 12 best on grounds for 2024 ( 7 more best in grounds than 2023)
Has any player in the history of the game ever replicated , or got close, to what we just witnessed in relation to season dominance , individually ?

Cripps isn't in the top 50 players all time, probably not the top 100. Nor is his 2024 even in the running for the best season played.

Several Brisbane players had better seasons in their threepeat years, Aker, Voss, Johnson fir example.

The best ever 1980s Hawks had several players with several better seasons in their golden years.

Cripps is a fantastic player, well liked and admired. He won an individual award in a weird way but it was the right result. Don't start pumping him into something he ain't, you make him a laughing stock.

Equal second best player for the season in the Fadgelow, with Neale, and behind Heeney. Daicos 4th.

So yes, there have been plenty better. Particularly when we also consider finals, which are kind of important...and particularly given he win neither the Players MVP and Coaches Award.

It's not about Cripps being the laughing stock, it's about these deluded Carlton posters being one.

Brownlow votes are the be all and end all, until we point out that Daicos was actually seen as the second best player on the ground by the umpires, in a game where Daicos allegedly wasn't in the best 5, according to Voss and his disciples.

But it was McRae who was playing favourites...

Collingwood still with a premiership hangover after 9 months - that hasn't changed

The great thing about Premiership hangovers is that it means you have won a Premiership. Something that is foreign to all Carlton supporters in the modern era.

Opinions vary.
Not sure how a record amount of votes is totally ignored by you.

How is it ignored?

Do you honestly believe Cripps' home and away season was 20% better than any other home and away season produced by any other player in the history of the game?

Whether Cripps had have polled 45 votes, or 20 votes in the 2024 Brownlow, his season was the same.

As per Daicos - I can confidently say that despite having polled more Brownlow votes in 2024 than any other player had through to 2023, his season was also nowhere near the best home and away season ever produced.

If you honestly believe Cripps' 2024 is up there with the best home and away seasons ever produced, go ahead and rank your top 10. Go.
