Fadge, Cobbers, I think we need to start a petition to demand that the AFL integrity Officer investigates the fixturing department for accepting brown paper bags.
If a club is found guilty of fixture tampering we must demand that they be stripped of all first round draft picks for the next 4 years. Must make a statement against this blatant corruption.

Nah, as I said, it's the perfect scenario.

Would love to see the Ubershizen Bloosers continue to consistently finish mid table, whilst never being good enough to genuinely contend, courtesy of the favourable fixture.

Factor in injuries that all teams are exposed to, and they'll continue to be of the view - 'with a little more luck', 'with a little more consistency', 'with fewer injuries' - 'Next year will finally be our year'.

It is magnificent to watch, whilst at the same time our team just gets the job done, and contends as often as they don't...

Nah. Might be a fantasy but if I had my choice I'd much rather they got busted for fixture bribery and lost their first pick for the next 4 years and went back to adding to their spoon collection. Epic LOL's as opposed to your suggestion which is just more smug grinning like we've been doing.

Just remember we finished above the Pies this season so i think we are the grinners while the Pies are down in Mexico.

Just remember the Pies are knee-deep in a premiership window and have one in the bank already plus we've added strength and we're not reeling from a finals' disgrace and subsequent clean-out

It's astounding, isn't it?

How can a team scrape into the top 8, courtesy of double up games against the two worst teams in the competition, after not contending for a premiership for a quarter of a century, and honestly believe they just need a bit more luck with injuries and some input from a talented 18 year old, in order to close the gap between themselves and the genuine premiership contenders?

Not just input from an 18 year old, i think we were 2nd when Tom De Koning went down, having him back will improve us.

So, you have seen the fixture now. Care to change your mind of our position ?
Only asking so you don't use the fixture as an excuse moving forward ( which is what you currently do in every 2nd post)

Don't forget the bit where they shipped out their best small forward and dumped all the experienced depth on their list because....because.....you know .... they are super stacked with young up and coming talent apparently🤣
Never know they might uncover a few more Durdins.

I had you 7th to 11th . After seeing that disgrace of a fixture I now have you 3rd to 7th.
I also have you choking out of finals in straight sets. Curnow to play finals stinkers as usual.

I have never argued with Carlton's ladder position. I have however said the rankings when the season is completely finished change for the top 8 based on finals performances. A team that finishes 6th and wins the GF becomes the number 1 team for that year. Doesn't change their ladder positions however
LoL

There is no ranking change.

Finals confirm who the premier and runner up are.

And even in your pretend ranking change, you ignore Geelong beating Port in the QF, and still rank Port as "better" because they had a higher H&A ranking.

Not ranking change in terms of the ladder. I'm talking about ranking change in terms of who had the best overall season. A team that finishes 6th and wins the premiership is the best team for that season. Not sure how this can be argued.

And your last point has nothing to do with what I'm saying now. That's my personal opinion of how to judge teams in any given year in a thread similar to this.

You really aren't very good at this, if you believe what you are posting, which is truly delusional

This is same side you believe could finish as high as 3rd on the ladder ?

If finals only tell us the premier and runners up than a team that finishes 8th and makes a prelim is still considered the 8th best team in that season? That makes zero sense to me.

Yep. If you don't make top 4 this year with that armchair ride of a fixture you really are a joke of a club.
Regardless of your ladder finish....you won't be a genuine flag contender.
