If Carlton finish higher, that will confirm that they had a better season than the other.
The fixture is irrelevant. Carlton have double ups against Nth and West Coast. Pies have gimme double up games against Melbourne and Fremantle.

Richmond definitely 18th, but with West Coast and North receiving double up games against Carlton, that might be enough to push them ahead and demote Carlton to 17th.

Wouldn't that be cute? Misery keeping each other company in 17th and 18th on the ladder.

Well, those are end of H&A rankings which aren’t used for double ups it is more end of finals so that 5th is actually premiers (and to a lesser extent 7th actually is 6th). In addition there is a massive gulf between 15th and 16th in 2024 (we benefited in 2024 by playing north and Richmond twice too - though at least we were expected to be shit and possibly even wins for those clubs at the start of the year)

Fadge, Cobbers, I think we need to start a petition to demand that the AFL integrity Officer investigates the fixturing department for accepting brown paper bags.
If a club is found guilty of fixture tampering we must demand that they be stripped of all first round draft picks for the next 4 years. Must make a statement against this blatant corruption.
