And every other coach who voted across the season.
A lot of them gave Crippa BOG and rightfully so. Unfortunately, in a deciding match between the two candidates Farcical Fly decided to award 5 charity votes to golden boy despite not being near the best player on the ground that game.

Crippa ended up being cheated out of the award by 4 votes... Peculiar that if you deducted Fly's embarrassing display of favouritism Crippa wins the award.

Many people rate Dustin Martin as one of the best players since the turn of the century, and it's not because of his home and away performances.

I have him as circa top 10, but if you exclude finals performances, he'd be circa top 30 to 40.
Plenty will remember Dusty's 2017 as one of the greatest individual seasons of all time. Do you think people will remember Squibby coming 2nd in the Brownlow to the all time record holder like they do Dusty's 2017?

You better tell the umpires, who gave Daicos 2 votes.

Or the many media awards who had him in the top 3 or 4 players on the ground.

For about the 15th time, 9 votes to Cripps and 5 votes to Daicos does not seem unreasonable given all the objective data.

Voss giving Nick 0 votes was more biased than McRae giving him 5.

Would they remember it as one of the greatest individual seasons if not for Martin's finals performances?

The answer is NO.

Are we sure Fudge isn't secretly Farcical Fly himself? Would explain why he's refused to put a bet on the last few years... AFL policy and all. We all remember how betting on the Pies worked out for Jaidyn Stephenson

I've had plenty of bets the last few years.

My favourite was backing Carlton to miss the top 8 in 2022 with 4 rounds to go, at odds of $6.

Yes they would lmao! Did you not see his stat lines from 2017??? In comparison to your golden boy he absolutely craps all over him. One of the greatest seasons thats ever been produced by a player.
