Walsh will go past him but right now it's big Cox, huge scrapbook of scintillating highlights on the big stage, a legend

You are either trying to defend the indefensible or you lack comprehension

"players projected to have a better career than Cox" states that Walsh is yet to reach or surpass Cox's output as a player
Correct, the sum total of his career is less than Cox so far, not by much but still less

But Cox is nearing the end while Walsh is still near his peak, recent Ayres medal, no question that Walsh is currently better

Old mate Cirn Cobbers has compared Walsh to Stephenson. They're a special breed pies supporters

It's really not that difficult a concept to grasp.

Well, for people with a modicum of intelligence...

Just to simplify the discussion for the challenged Carlton supporters...

Tom De Koning has played 78 games.

Mason Cox has played 129 games.

If you take the top 10 individual games the respective players have played in their careers, Cox has 6 of them, De Koning 4.

Top 20 games - Cox 12, De Koning 8.

Top 50 games - Cox 28, De Koning 22.

Top 100 games - Cox 60, De Koning 40.

Top 150 games - Cox 90, De Koning 60.

And then you consider that many of Cox's best performances have been in finals.

De Koning is without doubt the better player right now and heading into 2025, he is negotiating a million dollar a year deal that will further hamstring the salary cap of a club that has peaked at a 13 win season, but his career output is not yet at the level of Mason Cox.

Carlton supporters boasting they have yet another player set to further hamstring their salary cap, for a list that has peaked at a 13 win season...

Oh boy.
There's clearly an obvious reason why Mason Cox can't negotiate a similar contract to DeKoning - Cox is just no friggin good. Not a hard concept to grasp , really

On what basis is Cox currently better than Walsh
