You are so ignorant. Gawn and Grundy were comfortably beaten by Naitanui. Try watching with both eyes.

You are clearly one of those people are obsessed with stats rather than the actual influence a person has on the game.

We have won four premierships at the MCG in case you have forgotten.

Care to put money with your dim-witted mouth is?
You really are the sterotypical WC supporter.

Don't think so this year. They couldn't beat Hawthorn, St.Kilda, GWS, Port, or Collingwood. That's a long way from being the best in the comp.

At absolute full strength, they're still very dangerous. But to me on this season's form they aren't as even or more importantly consistent as in previous years.
The first half of last year we were saying the same thing.

Maybe. Believe it when I see it. They're another year older now.
So is Hawkins and he's playing better than ever. Geelong are a year older too with the oldest starting side in the league.

They are looking a tad fragile in a strange way for a side which has just gone 5w, 2l. They can get absolutely pumped at the clearances and it can cost them like it did against Port.

That said, I don't read too much into games between host teams and hub teams - they are just about foregone conclusions at this stage. Same reason why I don't regard West Coast getting four wins on the spin in Perth as being particularly alarming.

Did you happen to see the 2018 GF? If you didn’t I’ll summarise.

WC v Collingwood at the MCG
WC won the game
WC play home games in Perth
Collingwood play home games at the MCG

Got it now?
No because I'm not disputing any of that. I'm still just confused as to how Richmond v Brisbane has any bearing on WCE?

Generally speaking, interstate teams *can* win at the MCG, but they need to be much better than the Melbourne teams to do so. The exception to that is 2012 Sydney vs Hawthorn, for mine.

It speaks volumes to me that for each year between 2012 and 2019 we have had an interstate team vs a Vic team for the GF. Only Sydney 2012 and West Coast 2018 actually got up and won. Like it or not, home state/city/ground advantage doesn't disappear on GF day.

So my take away from this thread is that Geelong can't win the flag this year because they've lost to teams both this year, last year and in 2018. Also because they didn't win the flag last year.

Using these advanced calculations I have determined that only Richmond could be eligible for this years flag as they didn't lose any finals last year ALTHOUGH they've lost to teams this year which rules them out also. These metrics tell us that no one can win this years flag as it is impossible to win if you've already lost a game or final in your clubs history.

Answer the question, particularly as your adamant WC can’t win away from Perth.
I think this conversation is done until your reading capabilities improve.

It was an example of an away winning against a home team. That’s all. Don’t make it bigger than it is.
I'm not making it anything, you're calling me out on a bunch of stuff I never said. I was just confused at the relationship in your statement.

He's good at that.

That same poster thought Geelong would go 0-7 to start last year.

Of course Geelong can win. They are a great side. I think the winner comes from them, WC or Richmond.

That was two years ago. This year we've already seen them struggle away from Optus with no crowds. As soon as they got back home to a chorus of boooos they've played better. Those first 5 or so games were telling imo.

If the finals are played in Perth in front of their degenerate spectators, then yes, they're a chance. In QLD or Adelaide I know where my money is going.
You mean the first batch of games we played at the beginning of the restart where we were out of form playing on wet/ dewy grounds. Wet is our kryptonite.

be interesting to see how we go in the next hub played all at night.

Any cane toads able to tell us if the nights are wet at that time of year?

You’re so full of shit. You’ve got a couple of nuffie Cats mates in your corner but the overwhelming majority are staying away. You don’t happen to be that clown that got 2008 tattooed on his arm?

Where the hell will you be when you choke in a final again?

Can’t believe he was Suspended for that game. He’d still have nightmares about that.
Can't believe he was suspended? Or can't believe that he threw the punch while we were pumping a team in the semi?

Lucky for him, he's got a couple of premiership medallions but I agree, it'll be up there with costly suspensions of years gone past, Rocca, Cloke, Paul Chapman and this list should include Barry Hall.

What did Chapman do?
