everyone keeps saying Pies are not that good this year but have only really lost two games... 1 more then this time last year.. Still got a bloody good midfield without Swan.. Pendles is top 2 in the comp after Jnr.. Pies should could do a Geelong 07-09

Geez this match caught me out. Thought the Pies were no chance. I saw the cats play both in last 2 weeks. Crows were so much better than the pies.
What changed? At home, not many injuries and completely on fire.
Have I overrated the crows or underrated Collingwood?

been at 3 quarter strength all season and still 7-2, will be 9-2 come bye.
We still the same team that only lost to Geelong last year, just keep in mind this year is a whore in terms of injuries.

Terrible post, even with swan out they could win the flag this year. And that is not an insult to swan who is an elite player, just saying that the likes of Sidebottom and Beams have really come on this year and are potentially elite players.
Replaced 2 aa's with 2 new players with an already injured list. Dear god..
Collingwood are very well drilled. The crows maybe got ahead of themselves. The crows will be up there don't get me wrong. But collingwood have some serious depth. For their sake hopefully the injuries don't get to much for them to handle.

Collingwood deserves to be favourites in a very close competition this year. If they can get most of their players back the will be very hard to beat. Plus the have the best player in the comp (Pendlebury) and always put in a solid team effort

Nah. The Crows were coming off a six-day break whereas Collingwood had an eight-day break. The Crows were a goal in front at three quarter time, but ran out of steam (compared to Collingwood) in the last quarter.
Nothing in it other than the difference in the six-day versus eight-day break.
Yup and the 1 down for us on the bench in the last qtr (when we were up by 1pt) also was a huge advantage to us...
Nothing to do with standing up and taking the game on when it was to be won (like your mob did yesterday)

What about the fact that Collingwood were missing half of their best 22, while Adelaide were only missing Taylor Walker?

What about it? Are you saying that Collingwood depend on those who were missing? A few of them will be missing for the rest of the year.
Collingwood absolutely did deserve to win in round 9, no doubt about it. Unquestionably the Pies had the desire in that game. So well done, they needed to put in the effort, and they did it.
Doesn't mean it will always be that way ...
