Will West Coast win the Flag ?

I prefer the "I don't know" posts dajesmac.

Really, that goes without saying.

Apparently not.

Who are you to speak for me?

Of course I care, that is the reason why I opened such a discussion in the first place.

With that said, this isn't about me, it's about the entire football community. It's time to be realistic, we are well enough into the season to be so.

Sorry buddy.

WBD,MEL,GWS, BRIS > All in Poor Form
RICH > Playing above there position on the ladder as shown by WCE beating them by only ten, Rich playing well or WCE playing poorly or bit of both
HAW > At Subiaco and still only won by five after being down all game.
I agree with you, people are getting ahead of themselves.

Where did you pull Brisbane from?

Where did you pull Brisbane from?
Probably the same place where he/it pulled Gaff as an "OK" player and Masten as "one of the worst players to consitently pull on a WCE guernsey" from.

Clearly no knowledge of our club and it's players.

To be fair the AFL should just give us the flag and premiership cup at the conclusion of this week, if we win. No point going through until the end of September when WC has it all in the bag already

Did I just fart?

definitely the best team in the league. If they don't win the next couple of flags it would be considered a massive failure. The pressure is on to perform.

I am almost certain now that they will make the Grand Final, as they will more then likely finish top two.

But it then depends on who they meet in the Grand Final. If they meet another interstate side, then I say yes. As West Coast are the best performed interstate team.

If they meet an inexperienced Victorian team, like Essendon or North you would also expect them to win.

However if they meet one of the more experienced Victorian teams, namely Geelong, Collingwood, Hawthorn or Carlton, then I dont think they beat any of those teams at the MCG.

Surely as a Fremantle supporter eager to win it's first flag, you would be a little worried by the resurgence of WCE from spoon, to top 4, to top 2?

If you were smart, you would probably smell not just one flag, but 2 or more. How could this bode well for your WA team in the next few years, especially with Pav having 4 years at best left? Are you not in the least bit worried, or could this be the resurgence that interstate teams have been dying for?

Why should Freo fans be worried about West Coast's resurgence?

More worried about Freo qualifying for finals. Whatever West Coast is doing only matters when we face them. Another 10 wins are probably required make them.

To answer the OP. No, Geelong will.

We will easily win the flag, went down to training yesterday and the boys are really doing well in the ducking for free kicks drills. Soon we will have a whole team of untouchable duckers and we will duck our way to the flag.

Surely they have to be considered legitimate flag certainties??

for whatever reason, I don't think "considered" "legitimate" and "certainties" can be place in the same sentence. Unless it's, I certainly consider this a legitimate troll thread

Have to set them up before you can knock them down....

Build us up and watch the backlash if we lose and if by chance we win, then the Bombers were beaten by legit flag contenders and you can pat yourself on the back for displaying great vision and foresight.

Similar to why many in the media media pick weekly/monthly flag favourites.

Yet it's all good and well when a West Coast poster makes the same thread about Essendon. Funny how many of you posted in that other thread as if it is legitimate and fair, yet you're all up in arms when the shoe is on the other foot.

I think they will, on current form even with their injuries, I can see them go through the season without a loss, they are going to smash us on saturday. :(

ITT Essendon supporters either:
A) being sarcastic
B) trying to jinx us in the lead up to this weekends game.

I'm not superstitious, but I do think the bombers will get over the line on Sunday against the Eagles :)

^^ Don't be so precious ... The weagles are top of the ladder, undefeated, and are flying. They were preliminary finalists last year, and obviously the next step for them is a grand final and / or premiership. All the other preliminary finalists from last year have stumbled badly already in the first few rounds (Geelong, Collingwood and Hawthorn). So its a legitimate question, should the weagles be considered flag favourites if they defeat an up and coming team in the Bombers at their own home ground?
